The Discraft Zone SS is a slightly less overstable version of the classic Zone, offering a straighter flight with minimal fade. It’s designed for controlled approaches, tunnel shots, and straight drives where precision matters, while still maintaining enough stability to finish reliably. Players get the familiar Zone feel but with a smoother, more workable flight right out of the box.

My Flight Ratings: 4/4/-1.5/1.5 Somewhat Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 275 Straight Score: Slightly Understable

I was really hoping this would give a similar flight path to a seaoned jawbreaker Zone and this was not it. It was definitely much flippier for me than that. Especially on backhand. I got a lot more lateral movement than I was anticipating. I will say it's great for touchy forehands but it is definitely more understable than advertised at least at my current arm speed. When I power down some I get the flight I'm looking for and maybe that was the intention behind this. I often like to throw some of my approach discs off the tee and that's really where that extra movement comes into play. On shorter approaches it does behave much straighter for me and closer to that seasoned jawbreaker Zone I was hoping for. I do love the plastic and it has remained in the bag but more of in a niche slot.
