Z Flx Ringer GT - This is a fairly glideless or low-glide approach disc (especially in Z FLX). You won't be able to throw this very far, which is good when you're trying to ensure that you won't throw past the basket. This disc hovers between approach and utility for me. My Zone was more workable and adaptable both for approaches and off the tee, so I found myself reaching for the Zone more often than the Ringer GT, and I wasn't ever really sure that the Ringer did anything particular better for me. I did find it very comfortable in the hand due to the recessed top. 4/5 because of it's limited usefulness, but that's just my opinion.

The Ringer GT (especially in the Z Flx plastic) is the best approach putting in the game! It doesn't matter if you are throwing with no wind or into a 30mph headwind, the Ringer GT in Z Flx will fly exactly the same! And in the softer plastic it will not skip and stay right where it lands! The ONLY downside is that in Z Flx, there is no glide at all, so it will fall out of the sky pretty quick.

After falling in love with the X-Soft Ringer for my inside circle putts I decided to try the GT for approach shots. I started with an X-Soft Ringer GT and my love affair continued. The X-Soft beats up pretty quick but this putter is now a straight approach disc with a fantastic grip in all conditions. The GT has less glide than the regular Ringer which makes it better for approaching with my game. I can afford to throw this good and hard without much concern that it will run away or be affected by the wind. And the X-Soft plastic loves to stick to the spot it hits in whether it's grass or North Carolina clay/dirt.

Because the disc beat up so quickly, I added a Crystal Z-FLX for my stable drives. This plastic is BEEF. Much more stable than the Elite Z Ringer or the X-Soft GT, yet still a consistent feel and flight. The same proves true with the reduced glide vs the regular Ringer but I cant get over the consistency of this disc. It will remain in the bag until it doesn't have any more fade.
