The Big Z Raptor is one of the most used discs in my bag, and it is the most used driver in my bag by far. Its overstable flight path makes it unbelievably reliable in all weather conditions. In addition to this, the overstability makes it possible to shape this disc in all sorts of cool and useful ways. I enjoy throwing this disc on a hyzer as opposed to throwing some other driver straight because a hyzer release allows for extra distance control. I can hit landing zones with ease due to the consistent finish of this disc. Also, this is one of the only discs in my bag that I can forehand. I have a terrible forehand, but because this disc is so overstable, it masks all of my form errors. It's possible to flip this disc over with a ton of anhyzer, but it's certainly not easy. The Big Z plastic has held up incredibly well. I have hit some trees with some serious speed with this disc, and there is minimal cosmetic damage.

Overall, I absolutely love the Big Z Raptor. It is used very frequently in every round that I play, and its overstability allows me to use it in a lot of ways. On top of this, the Big Z stamp is absolutely gorgeous. It's one of the coolest discs in my bag in terms of the stamp and the flight. It requires some speed to get it to fly true to its numbers, but if you've got the arm speed, then it's a must-have in any player's bag.

man i can not begin to tell you how much i love this disc

i can throw LHF and RHF and this thing is money on both!

with my left hand it flips up just barely to flat and then has that trusty fade at the end

with the right hand its dead straight the n that fade.  if you dant have one of these grab one you will not regret it!

My go to forehand disc. Perfect control for me as someone who is not super powerful or prominent with the forehand. I can get max 300 feet, but that is on a perfect throw with perfect conditions probably downhill. The raptor is very forgiving. It's stable enough to not turnover with a little anhyzer, but also not so overstable that it instantly dumps over. I personally prefer it over the firebird.

Definitely a sturdy disk that takes time to break-in. I would recommend throwing it as a practice disc in the beginning as you begin to work in a routine. This disc is good for both forehand and backhand throws and does a really good job of staying on its line

I love this disc. Specifically in ESP when it's available. It is true to the numbers. Overstable but still workable. I definitely understand the "longer zone" comparison and would say that is pretty true. As it beats in, it is becoming my go to fairway driver for any shot ~300 ft that needs to be shaped and isn't a point and shoot midrange shot.

If you want an overstable workhorse, get this driver.
If you want a utility meathook - stick to the predator.

    172g Big Z

This one just arrived today, and the new stamp on it with the eagle and the velociraptor looks amazing. Best big z stamp yet. It's also flatter and more OS than the z; pretty much the flight I was hoping for out of the z. Dead straight with a strong fade in a headwind. Pretty comparable to a sexybird, but without the higher price and limited availability & colors. The rim feels much more comfortable than a firebird as well. This is the flight that Uli got us hyped for in the original discraft vid: a longer zone. The big z feels great in the hand as always; hopefully it doesn't beat in too quickly (I'll update if it changes substantially). Discraft's flight numbers of 9/4/0/3 seem on point for now.
