I love the Challenger SS. This disc is my go to putter if I need a straight shot from 150 feet and in. All you have to do is put this disc on the tiniest of hyzer, and it will flip up straight and finish straight. I would highly recommend this disc for everybody.

I tried a challenger (normal) for a few weeks and really enjoyed its push putt line but seemed to hit the front edge of the basket. Adding a little power made my putt inconsistent. I was torn. My beat up wizards were perfect but I was running out and didn't want to beat in another set. I tried out the Challenger SS and immediately made up those precious few inches without changing my form. Right out of the box this disc does it for me. I use the standard challenger for slight headwinds and the SS for workhorse putting. Discraft has become my putter of choice. Zone, Challenger, Challenger SS. What a thing of beauty. Now, replace my Westside Maiden!

This flies like a putter should on drives and putts with ease on a push. It's a bit finicky for direct putting but I rarely do that and have other discs for that job. I use this disc from bullseye out to 45-50 feet before I disc up to the Maiden. I do not drive this disc as I have several discs with similar lines in the bag that are shallower and better suited to drives, including other putters (Zone, Tangent, Maiden). This disc on a push putt naturally adds a few inches before it fades from a challenger. The beadless rim is comfortable for forehand and backhand putting in a pinch. A total win all around for me.

My only complaint is a lack of plastic choices. I would like to see this disc in flx someday.

I got this disc in Jawbreaker as a putting putter and I absolutely love it! This was my first try with the jawbreaker plastic and I really like it. The disc has some give to it, it is very grippy but not in a bendy way. If you can hit the chains with this, chances are good it will drop in the basket! I recently started throwing it for approach shots and I am loving it for that as well. It sticks where it lands and flies straight. Off the tee this thing is great as well when you need something to go dead straight. Overall this is a great disc!

The Challeger SS is a great addition to the putter lineup at Discraft. It is essentially a Challenger minus the bead. It feels very comfortable in hand and I really liked the Jawbreaker plastic it came in, not too firm, but not too soft. This disc did not lack stability like I thought it might with the SS title. It holds up really well with all shots, and could be a workhorse putter for someone. I liked that it had some stability, but I could throw it on anhyzer lines without as much effort as a regular challenger. Overall, this is a great disc.

I have lent this disc to many of my rookie friends to practice putting and they seem to handle this disc particularly well. As for me, I personally use this disc for more challenging, long-distance putting. The plastic allows for exceptional grip.

The Challenger SS in Jawbreaker plastic was a great disc to test out. I mostly tested it as a driving putter rather than putting with it, but I would say that it has a comfortable shape and feel that would make it a proficient putting putter.

As for the way it flew for driving and up shots, it was very straight. I expected it to be more flippy because of the SS in the name, but the Challenger SS really is Super Straight. Like all discs, it would fade eventually at the end, but if you give it enough juice on the release, it should hold pretty straight for the whole flight. I am always a fan of deeper dish putters, and this one fit just right for me. And you could see that the deeper dish really did let it glide and get that extra distance in the flight. So I think the Challenger SS will be a great putter that any disc golfer will be able to find a good use for.

I was expecting a substantially more understable version of the Challenger, but to me my 174g Jawbreaker Challenger SS was still plenty stable. For approach shots, the SS flys very straight for me, but always fades left at the end of the flight.

First off, I love the feel of Jawbreaker plastic. It looks like it would be slippery, byt it has the perfect amount of flex and grip. It's pretty comparable with PRO D in terms of grip, but it feels a little softer with a little bit more flex to it, which is perfect for a putter in my opinion. Like the Other Challengers, the top is mostly flat and it has the same great feel being just the right height and rim depth. Unlike the other Challengers, he Challenger SS does not have a bead, which I didn't really notice, so can't say if I like it with or without a bead better.

If you're looking for a solid all purpose putt and approach disc, the Challenger SS will not disappoint. This disc is adequate for drives, anhyzer throws, short approach shots and putting.

Love this Putter! I just throw Discraft and have used the Challenger for years. I have had alot of trouble with my release recently though. I bought two of these putters to throw because I knew i needed to change something up. Switching to the beadless putter feels so much more comfortable for me. Two days after buying them, I set a new personal record at my home course. My previous record was a -10... my new record was a -13! Putting, this grip is just amazing.

I liked this disc more as a driving putter than for actually putting, so I would have liked it more in a different plastic. The drives go fairly straight, especially for a putter. Solid for putting with only a little fade near the end. If you're looking for a new straight driving putter I would recommend that you try this one out.
