CryZtal plastic gives the Buzzz GT a stiff, ultra-durable feel with a clean release and added torque resistance. The translucent finish adds visibility while the disc maintains the same neutral flight as a stock Buzzz—just with the groove top feel. The Discraft Buzzz GT in CryZtal plastic is a dependable throwing mid for players who want a firmer grip reference.

The Buzzz GT is an interesting variant in the Buzzz family. I did not notice too much of a change in flight from the original Buzzz, it was straight with just a little finish at the end of the flight. Glide seemed pretty comparable as well. What is different is how it feels in hand. It has a significant groove in the top. This is different feeling if you are used to a regular Buzzz. Like other GT discs at Discraft, it doesn't feel bad, just different. If you haven't thrown a Buzzz, but like other discs with the GT top, this might be worth trying. If you like the Buzzz already, I'd just stick with that.

Great feelin disc. Does seem to fly slightly more overstable than a normal Buzzz. Not a Buzzz OS, just it's own thing. The reason I like it is the thumbtrack. It allows me to use it for numerous shots. Kinda like a swiss army knife disc style. I give 4 stars because I do wish it was slightly more OS.

First of all this is an interesting disc, namely due to the groove track.

Well the grip on the Buzzz GT feels very comfortable and fits very nicely in the hand. When I am throwing I don't really notice the groove track, except for when I pick it up initially. At first I was torn on how I felt towards the disc. For it felt comfortably in my hand but then it would feel weird at the same time because I was holding a midrange and it wasn't flat on the top. I would go back and forth on this so many times. In the end I got used to it and now it isn't so weird, it feels good in my hand and I actually prefer it over my normal Buzzz.

Well funny fact, the majority of my throws at first I always ended up throwing it into the trees and as such I couldn't see how it flew. Fortunately that didn't remain constant and I was finally able to see how the Buzzz GT flies. It flies wonderfully. I was interested to see if it did fly like the Buzzz OS or not like previously mentioned, I found that it does not fly like that. I don't have one so I could be wrong; however, I think it flies just like the Buzzz, which I do own. My Buzzz GT is a max weight so it is slightlly, just slightly more stable than my normal Buzzz (which isn't max weight).

With the Buzzz GT I am able to shape it fairly well. I can get slight to sharp anhyzers as well as sharp hyzer throws. Its versatility is pretty awesome, that's why I love the Buzzz so much. I can even get a pretty solid straight line with a healthy fade at the end. With all of this it is a very dependable disc and it is easy to throw however which way you want. I have even used it as a roller with decent success.

If you haven't felt the CryZtal plastic before, it has an awesome feel to it. Its very sturdy too, as I have mentioned before, at first my Buzzz GT had an obsession with hitting trees. There aren't many marks on my discs, very few spaces are rough on the rim of the Buzzz GT. The plastic holds up well.

Overall the Buzzz GT is awesome, I actually prefer it over the Buzzz flat top. It flies pretty true to the flight path provided by infinite. On top of that I am able to shape it fairly easily. It is dependable and reliable. The groove track does take some getting used to, once I did, I don't notice it except for when I pick it up. The Buzzz GT is replacing my Buzzz in my bag.

As a fan of the Buzzz discs and the entire mid-range family from Discraft, I was anxious to give the Buzzz GT a test drive. Right away I knew I wasn't throwing a regular Buzzz disc. Aside from the unique grip provided by the groove track on the top of the disc, the disc flew much more like a Buzzz OS.  In fact, after playing 18 holes where I used only the Buzzz GT, I was able to do OK once I accepted that I was basically throwing a modified Buzzz OS. The disc is more overstable than a Buzzz and can't hold the straight line like a Buzzz can. It is a very good approach disc, and the unique grip is actually comfortable and welcoming once you get a feel for it. I am very happy to see the Buzzz GT back on the market, at least for a short while. It will always be the lost step-child in the Discraft mid-range family, but it's a disc I want to carry in my bag for those predictable fades and semi-hyzer approaches. Of course, its collectible appeal is off the charts, so I couldn't help but want one.

i love the look and feel of this disc.  i have a big hand and my thumb fits perfect in the groove top.  before i got the disc I read the "abarker" review and was a little scared to get it but the flight for me feels like a new TI Buzzz or just a touch more.  it still glides great like a regular Buzzz.  The disc is awesome and i hope Infinte Discs continues to get cool discs like this.

The Groove Top Buzzz in glow in yellow the day Z plastic  with the sick stamp looked so good I had to try it out. I haven't been this excited to throw a new disc in a long time.

I love the Banger GT for approach shots. I really feel that the groove helps me keep my hand positioning consistent and allows me to get a soft spin on the disc more easily, so why not try it on a midrange?

For feel of the GT Buzzz, I'm not sure if I like it or not. I typically have my thumb further towards the outer edge of the disc. After a few throws I quickly got used to it. The GT Buzzz in 177+ is substantially more overstable than my normal Z-Buzzes, but probably not quite as OS as a Buzzz OS. It's a good stability for forehand throws for me, but I don't think I like the groove for sidearm shots. I've only played a two rounds with it thus far, but it is very consistent disc that goes straight and finishes left with a backhand throw.

My favorite thing about this disc is just how bright the yellow is. CryZtal plastic is arguably the best looking plastic available. In the yellow/green it is the easiest color to find by far when you're playing at dusk.

If you're looking for something unique to try/collect this is it. At the least, it's a really cool looking Buzzz, and you just might find that you love the Groove.
