DGA entered the warp speed driver market with the introduction of the Torrent. This distance driver is really fast, with a 14 speed and a really thick rim. DGA says that this is easily the fastest disc in their lineup and will “amaze with its speed out of your hand. Advanced throwers will love the added distance this disc will give their game, while pro caliber players will trust its increased glide and fade at the finish.”

Despite having a giant rim the Torrent feels pretty comfortable in my hands.  The rim is deep enough for me to get a good grip on it.  ProLine plastic is not my favorite, it starts off a little on the slick side, but it seems durable and gets the job done.  The Torrent is a fun disc to throw if you have a decent arm, it comes out of the hand very fast and has a little bit of flip-up when I throw it well.  It has good glide and a fairly strong fade.  Mine is still new and max weight, at the moment it doesn't have enough turn to out-drive my other distance drivers, I can get something like a Corvette or beat in Destroyer out farther.  But the Torrent has a nice combination of speed and stability, making it a reliable bomber, especially for anhyzer flex distance shots.  I am excited to see what it will fly like when it beats in.

Underrated bomber. This disc feels great in the hand, like a flat Innova destroyer or discraft nuke. It is quite workable as well, and can handle adverse winds somewhat. For wide open bombs it is hard to beat. Honestly can't say anything bad about it really. If you are looking for a high speed bomber that is somewhat reliable this is worth a try

Forehand thrower. Before I used to check weights on discs, I had an awesome Torrent in Pro plastic that would do whatever I needed it to on a hyzer. Lost the disc, and have tried to replace it but to no avail with the 173 or higher weights. This was back before I paid attention to weight and I'm thinking I had a 167-172 somewhere in there. Heavier Torrents (173+) tend to be understable and take off the complete wrong way.

Back to the original and probably lighter torrent. Had to really get used to it at first because it would take off so far right on a flick, and I almost gave up on it completely as too overstable for distance. Then something clicked and I was able to unleash this thing. Not for the 1-2 step thrower though. For maximum distance it requires a good deal of footwork, and a tight-to-body throw. Probably the best disc I've ever flicked and I tend to throw bosses/apes. The torrent just has more get up. 350-400 consistently

This disk is the nuke or at least very very close to it. I bought brand new 171 Nuke in ESP and Torrent in Pro and back to back they would continually land within 5 feet of each other.

Great control driving disc. Very straight with just a bit of hyzer at then end (~20 feet on 375ft throw) Low to throw right down the middle for predictable results.

I throw mostly forehand shots, and after initial frustration with this disc I now love it.   With a little hyzer this disc becomes deadly accurate, and a great distance monster.   I love the wide narrow rim.  Easily the most comfortable driver I have.

I've tried just about every driver out there, and IMO the Torrent is among the very best for maximum controlled distance. It's a straight flier that will flip up and track just a bit right with a hard rip. Comparable to the Boss or Nuke, but with a slimmer profile and a touch more speed. Highly, highly underrated disc. Anyone searching for a very slightly less stable, faster Boss should definitel check out the Torrent.

This is a pretty good distance driver if you can handle a big rim and have good arm speed. I could get it out to 380ft on a backhand spike hyzer. My max discance is usually around 390-410 with a Jun or Wraith and though this disc is faster, it's added rim size made it hard for me to get it up to speed.

On a forehand line I had to hyzerflip the disc to get it to fly fiarly straight. I got it up to 400 a few times, but it's a little finniky for my throwing style.

This is one of the farthest flyers on the market if you have a really good arm, but more players would be better suited with something slower.

Yup. The Torrent is a really fast wide rimmed driver. For my moderate arm the 168g Torrent I threw is not so overstable that I can't get good distance out of it, but unless my throw is at maximum efficiency, this thing fades out too much and does not go as far as I can get from slower discs. DGA's Proline plastic is probably my least favorite plastic. It's too smooth and slippery. In the case of the first flight Torrent, the plastic feels fine. It's a lot more like Discraft ESP than some older ProLine plastic discs I have. The reality is, I just can't throw hard enough to appreciate a disc this fast, and my small hands really don't get along with ginormous rims. The Torrent may be awesome for some, but it's not a keeper for this guy.

They're not kidding about speed 14. This disc is fast. The rim is a little thicker than I like for a distance driver for sidearm throws, but for backhand, this thing bombs.
