The Rift is a solid midrange, DGA's version of a Buzzz or Hex.  The PL plastic feels nice and has good grip and a little bit of give to it.  The Rift is pretty comfortable in my hands, it feels somewhat shallow compared to some other mids I've thrown.  I found the flight numbers to be pretty spot-on.  It actually took me some time to get used to the flight of the disc.  It has good glide, but it's not exactly a point-and-shoot midrange in my opinion.  Many workhorse mids tend to be either straight to fade (5/4/0/2) or dead straight (5/4/-1/1).  The Rift kind of does both.  It has low high-speed stability so it likes to flip up to flat when thrown on a small hyzer and it will hold a turnorver shot nicely for most of its flight.  But the fade of 1.5 kicks in at the end of its flight and helps it fight out of that small turn or flip up.  The result can be a beautiful s-curve flight, but I also found myself not always knowing where it was going to end up.  I think I'm more used to a Buzzz or Reactor type of flight that has a little more stability.

The rift is a straight flying, point a shoot midrange. I feel that it flies similar to a buzzz, but I prefer the hand feel of the rift. I feel that the rim of the rift is larger and fits my hand better. The rift has been a workhorse in my bag and I feel really confident hitting gaps in the woods with this disc.

The Rift is my first choice for most shots in the 220-300 ft range. This disc is as straight and consistent as they come. It flies on the line you give it and has a very gentle fade at the end. It is great for both low penetrating shots and big angles that need to get some distance before they come down. The PL plastic had a great grip and the Rift has a solid feel in the hand. It can take power and deliver control. Love this disc.

The Rift is a great straight flying mid and an absolute blast to throw. It holds up well to almost 300 feet worth of power without turning over and also fights through moderate headwinds without batting an eye. In fact I can almost throw it farther than some of my drivers. My only real complaint and the reason it isn't 5 stars for me is it often skips and can be a bit unpredictable. Sometimes it will skip 30 feet closer to the basket and other times it skips 30 feet to land OB.

Got this disc as a mystery disc in an order. I just haven't found a place for this disc in my bag, the few times I've tried to take it out it felt too understable to put power behind, but crashed left when I tried to power down.

Very accurate midrange and can hold both a hyzer and anhyzer line under controlled speeds. I don't have a big arm whatsoever, but I can easily place this in the circle on multiple flights from 150-200 with regular consistency.
I bought it right after I lost another McBeth Buzzz to a poor release and decided to try something close to a Buzzz without the heartbreak of losing another $20+ disc.

Initially, the plastic felt a bit slick to me, but I have very dry hands. After I put the disc through probably 100+ throws in fieldwork and multiple rounds the grip has gotten better and it has become an ultra dependable midrange... even more so than the Buzzz. This is the opinion of an average player, so take it for whatever it's worth.

I was looking for a good midrange disc, and I came across this disc after reading many reviews. I was not steered wrong. This disc is wonderful, and it is extremely consistent. If I am ever having one of those days where my drives just don't seem to do what I want them to, I turn to this disc. I haven't found a hole, sub 600ft, that I can't get to in-circle with two throws. Disc is super stable, flies straight, and has a good fade. Not sure if this is the case for everyone, but I ALWAYS get a little skip/bounce at the end. This can make things a bit unpredictable, but it can also add some distance. I have also had that skip up to chain height, so hoping to see that land one day. My friend has a buzz, and I prefer this to the buzz.

After many, many tests against the Buzzz, the Rift has definitely made the bag. The Rift has just the right amount of stability to do whatever you want it to do. It also goes farther than the Buzzz (at least for me.) I was able to throw it 380ft on a massive power rip. I still cannot believe it. It definitely has a ton of glide and feel amazing in the hand.

If you want a disc to blow you away, grab the Rift.
