The DGA Hurricane is a fairly stable high speed distance driver with a wide rim and excellent glide. For power throwers, this disc will go further than any disc DGA makes. For beginner and intermediate players, the Hurricane will fly overstable. The Hurricane is a good disc for both forehand and backhand throws.

In my limited experience throwing my Hurricane, it is like a Destroyer with a different handfeel. It is very flat-topped and has some big stability. I think the turn may be closer to 0 than -1 but perhaps it is the SP plastic, or the specific run that I got. I definitely would never give this disc to someone who throws under 375 feet (unless it is going to be used for spike hyzers).

Wow did this disc go under my radar. Fantastic reliable disc for any far throwing player. I remember throwing my farthest ever drive with this disc, 430ft! Can handle loads of power and is perfect for any forehand or backhand dominant player.

I picked up an SP-flex 174g Blue Hurricane, on a whim.  I lost a Pro Destroyer in the snow and wanted a stable/overstable Distance driver to replace it.  I found the Hurricane by accident as it was placed in the wrong bin, but immediately liked the feel of it.
Flight wise it is excellent.  Good speed, decent glide, slight bend to get good distance and a confident fade.  The #'s 12/5/-1/3 I would agree with in this case. It holds power shots well while still getting good distance.  It just has nice control to it.  The Rim width is thinner than a Destroyer so its easier to hold/grip.  Similar flight style.  I would recommend this to players that want a destroyer type disc but dislike how wide rimmed it is.  This is likely not as Overstable as a fresh destroyer, so thats a plus, some new Destroyers are way too OS for my taste.  Nice solid disc here.

the hurricane is an amazing disc.  its a force that was altered to be less stable and fly straight.  its a great work horse.  you can get a lots of distance with it.  if you like the force feel but dont want the hard fade grab a hurricane.  so compared to a destoyer i would say it pretty close in its pro plastic, sp has a little more turn at full power.  i bag both plastic and sp has the best feel for me.

So a local store has had DGA discs for a while now and I had never tried one, so i thought I'd find the highest rated one and give it a shot. The Hurricanes numbers seemed similar to a destroyer, I throw a destroyer both forehand and backhand and so I tried both with the hurricane as well. I loved it for backhand, the glide is notciable and if you put this disc on a anny it has enough stablity to glide down and fade back. Would i throw this disc over my destroyer ? Probably not. But if you need a cheaper option or just enjoy having a vareity of discs, This is certainly not a bad one to have.

This is like a Destroyer with more high speed turn.  At my current level (330-360ft), this is a pretty straight flying disc.  SP feels a lot like Innova Champion.

My SP Hurricane had some awesome sidearm drives today. Before today, I always threw this disc backhand and didn't see much distance. This has now become one of my top three sidearm drivers. When I flick it hard or give it an anhyzer release, it turns a little bit and then flattens out and dives into the ground. When I throw it flat or hyzer, it holds that hyzer angle and still goes pretty far. I might just put this in the bag for my next tournament. Have to think on that...

I love my Flex Hurricane (I don't think they've been released yet) they are much more overstable than my regular SP hurricane, but they are both great discs with excellent glide

I have a 173 SP Hurricane and a 173 Flex Hurricane. The flex Hurricane has a bit more left turn at the end of the flight, but they both have about the same minimal high speed turn. I don't really have the power for a Hurricane, but they are nice discs.
