My Flight Ratings: 3/4.5/-2/0.5 Very Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

Summary: This is a beginner friendly understable putter with high glide and a nice pushing turn.

The plastic of this putter is flexible and grippy. It holds grip nicely in the wet weather (PNW) and feels very durable. There are small ridges on the inside rim of the disc that are...supposed to help with grip I guess? I didn't really notice it while throwing it but I could see how someone would find it uncomfortable.

For reference, at the time of this review I throw about 275 feet (RHBH) and my wife throws about 225 feet (LHBH).

The first thing I noticed about throwing this putter is that it glides. This thing just wants to stay in the air. It flies like my well seasoned Cohort right out of the box, though it is much domier. For me, I could throw it on Hyzer and it would flip to flat and push right finishing right. For my wife, she can throw it flat and it will push left with just a touch of fading finish. Which is great because it is a shape that has been missing from her bag.

I would highly recommend this putter to any beginner looking to get an understable flight shape right put of the box. And the plastic feels like it will hold up for awhile before it becomes too flippy.

The Crosslap Shadowplay is a super straight flying putt and approach disc. It's a lot like a more shallow Aviar with a big gradual dome. The main difference, and thing that makes this putter unique is that it has some grooved lines on the interior rim of the disc. These little grooves have potential to give the disc more grip. Personally, I didn't even notice the grooves, but most of the time when I throw the Shadowplay, it is using a fan grip.

The ShadowPlay is really glidey for throwing, and I give it a glide rating substantially more than the "3" listed on it. For putting, I found that I regularily missed short, which might mean that the putter isn't all that glidey, or it might just be because I'm not a great putter and regularily miss short.

Where I really like the Shadow Play is on straight line approach shots between 100 and 200 feet. When I throw this at a slight hyzer angle it flys dead straight all the way to the target.  This putter also does a good job jolding an anhyzer line and so works well for big turnover throws.

The Crosslap Platinum plastic is a good one. It's not my first choice for putting grip, but it is sufficiently grippy and flexible that I was confident with it. This plastic is Starlike and seems to be very durable.
