The bad news: like others have said, this is VERY beefy and not at all like the numbers suggest. It's also quite firm/inflexible and the shoulder is fairly high so it's not really very comfortable in the hand either.

The good news: Simon and MVP are redesigning the disc and it should be coming out as it was originally intended or at least much closer to it. I suppose that could be bad news for people who love this version of it but maybe they'll re-brand this version as something else.

I remember a Simon ITB from years ago and his early Discmania bag had PD2s as his distance driver and I seem to remember he hesitated to use DD3s at times because they were a bit finicky. I imagine the Time-Lapse was designed to be a beat in PD2 and not a DD3. It by no means is a bad disc, but it's a little beefy for me. Absolutely a wind fighter.

Like other reviewers have said, this is "supposed" to be a Destroyer. Hand feel is similar to that, but flight is a bit more beef and a bit less glide in Neutron plastic. Because of that, it's uses are a bit more limited as even in a headwind I'd rather throw a halo destroyer than a Timelapse. Perhaps that's why Simon stopped bagging them. Not a bad disc, just not what I was looking for although it should be noted this review is for Neutron only. I've heard the Fission plastic is signifiantly different but I haven't thrown that. Also note, I live at 6,000ft so elevation is a factor. I throw 400ft on average as well.

This disc is supposed to be the mvp/axiom destroyer, but in neutron plastic, it is slightly too overstable to be called exactly that. But while it isn't exactly as expected, it's still an amazing disc! Despite its inherent overstability, this disc goes very far, very easily! When thrown flat, this disc will continously fade out, but not at all in a dumpy fashion. No, instead it just keeps on pushing, and I have no doubt that it is because of the big dome this disc has! But for me, this disc is my go-to anhyzer driver that will give me almost the maximum amount of distance (especially during windy days). However, in fission plastic, this disc is a straight-up hyzerflip bomber. So they compliment each other very nicely!

Overstable in Neutron plastic... that being said its my go to Anhyzer backhand, it is an easy 400+ anhyzer. Stop hating on this disc, it's still workable and is a great addition to the bag and just know all Mvp/Axiom run toward the overstable side.

I got this disc hoping for a good bomber disc. It is much to stable for me and it doesn't like to stay in the air for long. It has quite a bit of dome but not much glide for some reason. I think it is just much to stable for my arm. It is a good utility disc but not a go to bomber.

    12 5 -1 3 is a Destroyer

This is far from a destroyer. Not saying it's a bad disc someone will like it but I main destroyers an this comes up 75ft shorter. I'd say the glide is actually a 3. My average flat drive is about 435 with destroyers I would have to sky anhyzer this disc just to get 400. Do NOT get this for distance it's a utility disc

(For context I'm throwing a 171g dayglow SE from the first stock run)

This disc is an absolute beefcake. I love my 161g domey Destroyer and throw it 350-375 on golf lines with relative ease. Even though the Time-Lapse has the same numbers, this thing has substantially less turn and a much more aggressive fade with very little glide. Where the Destroyer has a satisfying S flight with a forward piercing fade, this turns very little and has a much stronger side-to-side fade.

That being said, it actually complements the Destroyer quite well. The Time-Lapse is great for headwinds and it will absolutely not turn over, making it perfect for max-distance shots where you need to be confident you'll land to the left on RHBH or right on FH. I essentially use it as my max-distance Firebird.

It's a solid disc, but much more of a utility disc than a workhorse. Hoping MVP can get some consistency in these runs, as I've heard from friends that theirs aren't anywhere near as OS as mine. Still looking forward to the Fission and Proton runs of these!

Very overstable -  like an old Discmania PD2. I really wanted to love this disc for forehand flex shots, but the shoulder is a very different (higher) shape than most other MVP/Axiom drivers, and makes it hard to maintain consistent angle control. Probably user error, but I end up with significantly more anhyzer angle on release than any other overstable driver I use. Plastic feels great, and it is nice to see MVP/Axiom making domey drivers again, but this one isn't it for me.

I have a blue first-run stock stamp that I got on release day and have been throwing regularly. It's not as beefy as folks online would lead you to believe. Thrown hard and flat it gets a nice gentle turn before a long pushing fade, and it goes FAR! I've been consistently getting it out to 425-450ft with nice tight lines, not the giant S-flight of a less stable disc.

The amount of dome is excellent, and it feels great in the hand. It's one of the best looking discs in my bag. Axiom has really nailed what a well-made premium plastic disc should be.

What surprised me about this disc was how fast it flies for a 12-speed. It seems like it gets to the target at least as fast as a Nuke or Boss, and with less drama. If you throw fast and need a reliable overstable driver for big distance, look no further!

Axiom delivered a great distance driver for high power throwers distance, great feeling plastic, smooth but enough grip, and a decent pop top dome. This disc, at least this first run in the axiom plastic, is certainly intended for big arms. There is significant glide and a bit of turn too but you won't tap into that unless you are throwing in that 400-500+ foot range, or into reasonably strong headwind. For most players, it's gonna be a meathook disc that doesn't go very far and has consistant flight even in a headwind.
