Such a good understable mid. It feels great in the hand. It performs very consistently, glides amazing, and works so well for less powerful arms. Turn overs and hyzer flips are made easy. Plus the plasma plastic is gorgeous, grippy and just stupid durable. It's kind of expensive but worth it. For a first mid or a turnover mid, it doesn't get much than the theory.

    Plasma 175. 4/5 Stars.

Interesting disc that fills the niche of stable to undertable mid pretty well. It a unique disc in that it’s a small diameter mid that wants to fly and be thrown like a wide diameter mid. Definitely takes a bit of practice to dial in and fine tune. Once you do it is very rewarding. The flight is similar to a Discraft Comet, though the shape of the two discs are vastly different. The Theory has a much smaller diameter and lacks the wing. With as blunt as the edge is some could argue though that this is more of a fast putter than it is a true midrange.

    Feel -

The Plasma Plastic feels right. It is slick until it gets a few throws on it but once the initial slickness is gone it gives nice, reliable grip in dry conditions. The shape of the disc is comfortable for most backhand grips. The bluntness of the nose makes it a little less so for my forehand.

    Flight -

Slow and glidey with easy turnovers and straight shots. Despite the lack of wing I was able to get the same distance on this as my buzzes with less power needed to keep it straight. The disc really doesn’t want to fade out you so a moderate power throw with a touch of hyzer is all that's required. Honestly, the fade is so soft on this disc that even nose up it will give you a straight flight. The only way to really hyzer this disc is to get it high with a committed follow through. Here it functioned better than expected but it's not a skipper, high hyzers will still net a straight shot. No problems holding the anny. If you have a smooth turnover in your game this disc will shine as long as you keep the power controlled. I could put a solid throw into it, didn’t worry about turning him into a roller. So its neutral/understable but not flippy, I just noticed that controlled throws got me the best results. Great for standstill shots or shortened runups. Approaches well and the glide of the disc and plasma plastic let you just put it on the line and let the discs do the work.

The only thing for me that kept it from being looked at as a possible go-to midrange is that it doesn’t handle low lines as well as I like. The same is true of my comets though. So its personal preference there, whether you like low hard shots or floaty touch shots to hit gaps with. It definitely a gap hitter and could be deadly in the right hands. I went off chains with it on two separate uphill, wooded hole. Holds lines all the way through its flight. Maybe its more similar to an MD than a Comet. But either way it's a great discs to throw and a worthwhile buy. If finesse is your game and you're an MVP/Axiom lover this disc will be golden. Happy Holidays and happy throwing!

Point. Shoot. Chains. Tada! This thing makes disc golf easy. There is no bead and it just floats out of your hand. This thing flips up for beginners very easily and has a very straight predictable flight path. I have this disc in a really neat watermelon stamp which is really fun. Axiom makes really good stuff and this is a great learner disc for beginners. This disc will definitely make you want to buy more Axiom / MVP stuff.

For intermediate players this thing still can have a purpose in your bag. Because it is so easy to throw you can get it through some really tight wooded lines on the course without very much effort. Probably best used as an approach disc because if you put a bunch of heat behind it this thing will turn over and not fight back.

I only have experience with a 174g Plasma Theory.  I was expecting a very understable disc.  It was not that understable, though it is getting more turn after a couple more rounds.
This is very nice to get different flights with power and angle control.
Moderate power ~80% this flies very very straight.  Was able to hit some tight gaps this past weekend .  Powered up it has some turn, but that turn seems to kick in almost halfway through the flight and it holds a smooooooth anhyzer, not a turn and burn kind of angle.  Settles in straight to flat.
So when giving it a lot of power it can hold a long anhyzer arch, if given an anhyzer angle release it holds that the entire way.  When released with a hyzer angle it will turn up to flat, maybe turn over a litttttle bit, but mostly this disc is a nice slightly understable midrange.  Not the most distance on a US mid as I get from the M4 but it's certainly a nice disc.  I am liking it.
I rate it # 4.5/5/-1/0.5 or maybe 5/4/-1.5/0.5...it seems to either not be as FAST or not has as much glide as my M4, either way I'll say it goes typrically shorter, but on a more controlled line. Its a reallllly smooth controlled anhyzer type disc.  The Turn can hold a really nice long line instead of turning fairly hard then fading out like some others

Love this midrange especially when you are looking for some turn. As a prodominantlye bacak hand thrower this disc works great for when I am trying to go right but dont have the confidence to throw a forhand at the given distance. Overall an awsome disc and like most all discs it is awsome if its used in the right ways.
