I love this disc, but hear my out. Not as a putting putter. Not as a backhand throwing putter. But as a forehand upshot disc! Oh yeah! Bet you didn't see that coming. Unless you've played with me. Then you did. Also if you're Ethan. But seriously, try it on a forehand if you've got that silky finesse.

I've only been playing disc golf for about 2 years at this point, but the Pixel is the best putter that I've ever used. It flies VERY straight and it is nice and glidey. I've been putting with it ever since it came out and I tried to switch but never got the same success that I did from these bad boys! I 100% recommend trying these!

This putter is the only putter I have used that truly lives up to the hype of being point-and-shoot. Out of the box this putter has a very minimal amount of fade at the end of its flight and once it is beat-in it basically becomes a laser beam.
Putting: I only use this disc for putting. I used to have one of each softness (soft, medium, and firm), but I now only use the medium or normal stiffness. I found that the soft beats in way too much and too quickly and can become warped at even the slightest amount of bending. The firm I find is too slick and I could not get a consistent release on my putts. I love this putter simply because I can pick my line and barely put any power on the disc and it will glide straight for the entirety of the flight to the chains. This disc does not need much power from your hand when it comes to putting. I solely spin putt so even if I get a sloppy release or a little wobble I still find the disc gliding over the edge of the basket.
Throwing: I have only thrown this putter off the tee a few times. Given that it is a fairly deep putter I find uncomfortable to throw whether it's a power grip or a fan grip. If you can get the grip right and throw it with the correct amount of hyzer this putter will flip up and glide straight forever.

Love everything about the disc except the overmold. Have 2 medium and 1 firm disc for about 3 weeks, already need replaced. The overmold plastic is too soft, scratches and gets gouges very easily. I was trying to use as my putter but don't hold up well. 5 star for everything, 1 stars for durability.

*NOTE* I only give 5-stars out to discs that I bag and throw actively. A 4-star disc is great and may come in and out of the bag for me and I can see another player actively bagging it.

The new Electron Medium feels like the old Soft, while the firm remains the same, but a touch grippier. Something to keep in mind for those looking to try the Pixels out. This will be a review covering both the putting and the driving aspects of the Pixel. The simple review is that an Anode and a Nomad had a baby. If you want a little more depth then read on.

Putting: The Pixel is deeper than a Nomad, but not by much, and is much shallower than a P2 or an Alpaca. Inside of C1 the Pixel flies like most other putting putters. Where most players are going to notice the difference in the Pixel is when entering C2 and C3 territories. This is where you're going to notice the high glide and low fade of the Pixel. I typically put with PA-3s and I tend to hang my putts out to the right to let them crash into the chains as it fades. The flight of the Pixel is very comparable to the Anode, P1, or a Luna in C2 and beyond. This is also a putter that really like those spin putters, like Simon, to get the most out of the glide of the disc. As a mostly sping putter this isn't for me, but I can see plenty of players loving this for putting. 4 stars for putting.

Throwing: The Pixel shocked me as a throwing putter. It's incredibly slow and glidey which players can just put on any line. I was impressed with the torque resistance that this had out of the box. I was able to get a baby hyzer flip and was even pushing 350' with my drives. Where this disc doesn't hold up is after it gets beat-in a little bit you're going to notice more turn and less torque resistance, but that's to be expected. It did not hold up well in the wind, but again not what this is designed for. Will need further testing to see if stays in the bag. 5 stars for throwing, for now.
