The Paradox is an understable disc that wants to turn. This is among some of the most understable midranges on the market and a disc that can fly on some very unique lines. For the advanced player, the Paradox will make a great disc for utility shots like rollers, flip-ups, or massive anhyzers. For the beginner, this makes for a great first disc that flies straight, hyzer-flips, or acts as a teaching disc.

About as understable as it gets with mid ranges. Great if you want a disc that won't fade out or will turn very easily, as well as easy rollers. Comfortable profile too. I prefer the feel of it over the innova Rollo, which is a similar disc on the market. The Paradox is a little deeper and rounded, and isnt quite as fast. It may not roll as far as the Rollo, but it makes up for it in a lot of other categories imo

Being a newer player (RHBH), I'm still working on my forehand. This disk is great and gives me a reliable option for when I need a strong right turn on a particular shot. I love the ability to pull this out whenever it is needed.

For what this disc is supposed to achieve, it does it's job perfectly. Thrown soft, it will turn. Thrown hard, it will fight any hyzer you put the disc on. It turns a lot, but doesn't burn into the ground. For a more advanced player, this disc will be much more of a utility disc, but it will fill a slot that very few discs can fill. for beginners with little to no experience throwing a backhand, it will be a great tool to see progress as it's understability will shine through with the increase of power. Certainly can seem like a gimmick, but it has a spot in my bag for soft touchy turnovers since I don't have a good forehand.

This is as understable as it gets. This disc turns over with very little effort and will never fade back... ever.

it's fun to play around with, but it's not something I would trust enough to pull out when I'm playing against anyone.

Great disk for a beginner start to shape turn lines and understand angle control. As I start to get better at controlling my release angle I reach for this disk less but I still appreciate the reliable turn. Overal I have found this disk very helpfull as I start to impove my game.

Ah, the paradox... A disc that is criminally underutilized. In a beginners hands, it's a brilliant set of training wheels. Straight flight for a ton of beginners, and an incredible training tool. A cornerstone of most drills in sports are finding the extremes of whatever you're practicing to get yourself through obstacles in your training. Seeing everything you throw immediately flip into the ground really can make you re-evaluate your angle control lol. This isn't an understable version of a tilt.... But it's about as close as you can get and still have it be usable. From very low speed hyzer flips, to high anhyzer turnovers, to lower speed rollers, the paradox fills a slot I didn't know I needed.

I have a slow arm and this disc does not mind haha. I can almost hyzer flip this disc from a major hyzer. It just turns for days and can be an excellent addition if you want that turn and no fade back. Especially if your arm speed is low and want that option.

Neutron Paradox - This disc is awesome. I imagine it would be a great beginner disc. I throw slow controlled hyzer flips with mine at it is perfect. It is super flippy but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It does exactly what it is labelled to do, be super understable. For beginners I bet they could get nice straight shots with it maybe be able to get some turn. For intermediate to advanced players that have good power and nose angle control this makes a great hyzer flip to turn/utility disc. I don't throw this disc every round but it has a great role in my bag. People always talk about reliable overstable discs, the paradox is a reliable understable disc because you know it will flip and it will flip a lot

    BEGINNERS! GET THIS DISC!

The most understable midrange there ever was which can help out beginners in working on release angles and get them some extra distance.

Anyone other then a beginner this is very much a utility disc. You may only throw it on scrambles or if you're like me and basically are exclusively a backhand thrower, but you'll be happy it's in your bag when the shot calls for it. Unlike SOME other understable midranges this one does not seem to fade back...ever. Once it starts turning...it's gonna keep turning. Really fun for those seemingly impossible turn shots.

One word, TURN! This disc will turn immediately out of the hands. Making this an amazing woods disc, you can make this disc bend in ways that are incredible.

I bought one of these for my buddy who just started and he loves it. If you've never thrown, this disc will help you to learn angles as well as get you that little extra distance.

    Truly incredible disc.

As someone who cannot throw a reliable forearm, it is valuable to have a disc that I can easily throw with a backhand on a slight anhyzer and have it finish right.

I consider it a must-have utility disc. This will be in my bag for the rest of my life. It was with this disc I learned how to throw a hyzer flip. With more arm speed and experience under my belt, I now throw it dead straight when needed. I didn't realize just how vital this disc is until I started playing very technical courses. There's just so much you can do with it once you understand it's tendencies. Slight angle adjustments will have remarkable impacts. The paradox will reward the time you invest to learn how to use it.

This is my first review on this site, and it is no coincidence that it is for this particular disc. It's in my top three all time favorite discs particularly in the neutron plastic.  If you made it here just buy one.

I absolutely love the Pararox, and I was so frustrated when I lost my first one to murky water. I bought another before I even left the course, and I'd do the same if anything ever happens to this one.

There's literally no other disc like it, the lines it can hold truly are unique and there are flights I just sit back and say "well yeah, I can see why this is called the Paradox." Low speed hyzerflips, flatter releases flying parallel to the ground but staying in that right turn till it hits the ground. I use it to get out of wooded shots or tree lines quite frequently, and once in a while as a putter if the wind requires it.

This might be too flippy for an intermediate player and above. But for a beginner or someone with insane arm speed control this could be a great controllable disc.

I may need to get my hands on another one to see if I got a dud because it is literally the flippiest disc golf disc I have ever thrown.

This disc is a lot of fun to throw.

Coming from an ultimate background, a lot of my throws were released on hyzer. I believe the Paradox is just like an ultimate disc. The way it feels in the hand with the rim, and how it flies. This disc will ALWAYS flip up and either fly dead straight or with a nice right turn. It glides and glides and will not disappoint for any turnover shot. Make sure to give it some height to get the most out of its flight.

Do NOT use in windy conditions. Use for technical shots in woods.

Must have utility disc. There is nothing else out there like it. There are so many different types of shots that I can throw with this disc that I otherwise thought were not possible. Crazy high lines that can still hyzer flip to flat and continue turning over slightly. Steep hyzer forehands that can round a corner and flip up to flat and go straight. Really soft forehand approaches that don't hyzer out at all before they reach the target. This disc can take strokes off your rounds if you learn how to use it. Because there is nothing else like it that I have found, I would recommend buying 2 to 3 so that you can practice the touchy shots and if you lose one, you will not have to wait a week to get another from Infinite Discs.

A strange disc but has a place in the bag for now.  You can turn it over to a roller fairly easily but put on a hyzer it will flip up and glide right (RHBH) and seems to fly for a while before crashing.  This disc will not come back, it flips up and either stays straight or goes right depending on the angle you put on the disc.

One thing that I would say makes this disc so great is an unexpected use: Long range putting. I can get this disc going 100-150 feet with a step/jump putt and run the basket. I've even nailed a 150ish foot putt already with it, and have come close on others. This disc has made me so much more confident with approaching from that range.

    Excellent beginner midrange

For newer players and slower arms, with a flat release this disc will stay straight for 75% of its flight before fading gently.  If you are brand new, consider getting one of these in a lighter weight.

As technique improves and arm speed slowly increases, the Paradox can be put on 15-20% hyzer angle and will flip to flat and go straight for a good distance before gliding to the the ground.  Of all of the discs I tried as a new player, this was the easiest to hyzer flip and gave good distance doing so.

As my form has continued to improve, this disc has become clutch for narrow tunnel shots.  I can release with slightly more hyzer angle, flip to flat, and go straight.  Often card mates ask "what did you throw there?" when I pure a tight gap.

I still consider myself a newer player, but can routinely reach 250 feet (with this disc) with no wind on flat ground. Now, released flat, the disc will turn and keep turning, but does not crash and cut roll.  I imagine players with much faster arms would be able to release this on a steep hyzer, flip to flat, and then turn.  This gets too flippy throwing into a head wind.

Out on the course, I've put this disc in the hands of many other new players. They are consistently positively impressed.

I imagine that at some point in the future as my arm speed increases this may no longer be a staple in my bag, but I can also see throwing this for slower, stand-still approach shots in narrow fairways.

Highly recommended for slower arms and newer players.  There is no other midrange I would recommend more.

This one is in the bag.

    Flies accurate to flight numbers.

Love the feel in hand. Fairly flat, no dome. Neutron plastic is heaven. Really durable as well, which is great because you don't want this one to beat in too fast.

Fantastic disc for people starting out as it's going to go straight for a long time without crashing down to the ground. Best part is it can stay in your bag all the way until you're an Axiom sponsored pro, because as a predictable (reliable) understable utility approach/mid - it's unmatched.

Be like big backhand daddy, James Conrad and never throw another forehand again. When it has to go right and stay right - there's a Paradox for that.

This is an amazing disc. The tricky part is, throwing it smooth enough with enough Hyzer to get any distance out of it.

This can be used to your advantage though for very accurate shots that hit the ground on Anhyzer.

I bag one, and being a mostly Mvp/Axiom guy, probably always will.

Very unique disc, one of my favorite shots to throw with it is just a dead straight low power approach shot, it will hold the line better than almost any disc I have thrown like this aside from perhaps a Spin. It will land nice and flat instead of Hyzer skipping away if you miss, It sort of just elevators down.

I hope they come out in Eclipse 2.0!

Overall, I love it and recommend it to new-experienced players, gyro lovers, everyone really.

I love this disc! This was the first disc that I was able to reliably Hyzer Flip. It is also just perfect for those medium distance forehand shots when you don't have a forehand. My friend who is a completely beginner threw it and it went straight despite his poor form and release angle. In that sense, it is great for beginners but it probably builds bad habits by hiding poor form. I would say not to try throw one of these for the first months until you are comfortable throwing straight reliably with decent form. But when you are ready to elevate your game beyond the basics, this disc is perfect!

I give this disk a 5/5 rating for just how fun of a disc it is to use. I really love how flippy the disc is, up until I worked into my forehand and was able to throw one properly, this has been my go-to disc for throwing those left to right shots with my RHBH throws. You can throw it with a decent amount of hyzer and it will reliably flip back up and continue to turn to the right. I also love throwing upshots with this disc. Due to how understable it is, it makes the disc fly very straight at a slower speed and allows you to make good and straight upshots in most conditions. Overall this is a really great disc, and I would definitely recommend it to any beginners who put too much hyzer on their throws, or a higher skilled player who is looking for a great disc to perform hyzer flips.

This is the strangest disc I have ever thrown. It just does the opposite of what it should do - on a forehand hyzer it flips up, turns over, and flies left for the whole flight. I have had it turn and burn on me a couple of times but it has enough glide that it won't just roll every throw. I wouldn't really recommend this but it has been useful for a couple very specific lines. One situation this would be useful is for players who only throw one way (only backhands or only forehands) since it basically replaces the shape of the other shot.

I bought this as a backup to an old super beat-in DX Cobra that I had. That thing would flip and turn with barely any power, and was my best super understable utility disc. The Paradox has the ability to be even more than that. Out of the box, its pretty darn flippy, even for my 325ft noodle arm. It has awesome glide, and can pipe woods lines like no other disc I've seen. It's unique in that it glides for a long time on an understable line without burning over. Newer players will find this incredibly useful, especially as they learn how to control hyzer angle in varying amounts of power. Awesome disc!!

So much control when you throw it slower and you can get a crazy hyzer flip turnover if you get the right release angle. If there's anything that can be said about this disc, it's just flat out fun to throw! Understability is very apparent straight out of the box, but is extremely easy to control. I've probably thrown this disc 50 times and have yet to accidentally throw a roller (which I'm usually pretty prone to doing). The flight numbers might make this disc seem borderline useless, but it's an absolute must have for tight wooded courses. It's my go-to for hitting tight gaps on ~230-300 foot shots.

I gave the paradox a 4 out of 5 stars because it is heavily geared towards slower armed players and probably won't have a lot of use for folks that throw hard. However, it is a very understable midrange that will be excellent for both beginners and slower armed players. It fills a gap in the MVP midrange lineup and even though it's fairly flippy, it wasn't uncontrollable. Plastic feels great and the durability of MVPs plastic is excellent. If you're looking for a very understable midrange, I'd recommend trying the paradox.

I like this disc because it flies like a longer Spin. Super flippy and has absolutely zero fade. A hyzer flip is mandatory. Thrown about vertically it will corkscrew over and end to the right. Thrown flat or a little hyzer it will head to the right straight away. It doesn't turn over too quickly tho so with enough air it really could form some good shots. Works well as a putter actually: flies dead straight and floats like a butterfly. I might end up bagging one for circle 2 putts because I struggle with a regular putter.

The Paradox is a dream come true for guys like me who play on tree courses 80% of the time. This thing flips then rides straight with zero, and I mean zero, fade.

It's kind of like the mid-range version of the Virus which I would use for the same kind of line in the trees if I only need up to 250'.

If you're not used to hyzer flipping a disc to flat and then running that line it will take a little getting used to, but once you master your hyzer flip angle and have good pop, this disc will flip up and give you dead straight lines.

I'm not sure if it's a good roller but it would definitely be easy to roll and might come in handy for some utility shots.

The sidearm flip up is a thing of beauty. If you're working on sidearm hyzer flips you'll enjoy how easy it is to do with the Paradox.

This disc is staying in my bag right next to my Reactor and Hex.

The disc feels great to me, rim is pretty much Reactor/Hex style rim.

Throwing Neutron plastic at 4,400 ft in Utah. To me, 5 stars = incredible disc 4 stars = good & dependable disc. I don't give out too many 5 star ratings.

The Paradox is a good understable disc. Neutron plastic is extremely durable, and it offers some good tack to it. One of my favorite plastics out there. The rim is quite small on this disc, which can (at times) feel a little funky in the hand. Mainly, it does fit well into my hands.

Throwing this disc is easy. It is meant to be understable and it will fly as such. The flight chart is a little off in my opinion. I don't think that this thing has fade, once it has turned over, it will hold that line until it hits the ground. For me, this is a touch shot disc. If I put my full power into the throw, regardless of the angle of release, almost always it turns into a roller. It is very understable, and backing off the power, this disc becomes quite the tool to use.

It provides easy rollers, easy turnover shots, easy hyzer-flips, and easy approach shots. This definitely achieves what MVP was hoping to achieve in creating an understable disc.

If you're looking for an understable midrange, give this one a try. I would definitely recommend this to most anyone looking for an understable midrange. Whether that is a beginner or an advanced player.

Great Disc for beginners, will help you get easy distance. Certainly lives up to its flippy design and even with significant hyzer will turn and never fight back. It's not a -4, it flies similarly to my Svea but with less glide for sure. Solid disc from Axiom so if you're an overmold fan, this is a good pick up.

This is an excellent understable addition to the MVP/Axiom lineup. Brand new, it's not quite the turnover machine the numbers indicate. Thrown with hyzer and decent power, it will flip to flat and ride straight. Thrown flat or hyzer full power, it will definitely turn and ride that turn. While holding the line, it resists turning completely over. Definitely touchy but very manageable.
