The Axiom Excite is an exciting distance driver that can provide new distance records for intermediate disc golfers. This straight-to-understable driver has a thick rim, substantial dome, high amount of glide and amazing ability to hyzer flip. The Excite is slightly more understable than the Axiom Tantrum, but more overstable than the MVP Orbital. Disc golfers with big arms will find the Excite useful for huge turnover shots.

This pairs perfectly with a Tantrum for me as a more stable compliment. (Yes I know it is supposed to be the other way) Thrown 400 this disc gets almost no turn and a small but reliable fade. It is my go to reliable stable distance driver. Since the ones I have gotten have not been like the numbers it is possible that I found a few excetionally stable ones, either way I love this disc. Highly recommend to medium and big arm players.

This disc absolutely bombs, for me it is easily the longest driver I have thrown from MVP/Axiom/Streamline.  I have found most of the giant-rimmed 14+ speed drivers to fly very overstable for me which is understandable.  However the Excite truly flies like an understable bomber if you are throwing over 400+ ft.  One of my Excites was very flippy out of the box, it needs to be hyzer-flipped and I occasionally burned it over.  But when I got the angle right and made sure to give the disc enough height, it really produced some awesome drives.  It is very fast (obviously), has great glide, and flies a lengthy s-curve before fading out in the end.  I find this disc to be a little more stable than some of the very flippy fast discs I have thrown, like Shryke's or the DGA Tempest.  It can be a little wild at times and does not hold up well in a headwind, but if you spend some time figuring out the best distance lines and angles of release you will be rewarded with fantastic distance.

When thrown under 65 mph, this disc is just going to be over stable. However, once you break into the upper 60s, the Excite has a phenomenal s-curve flight. Without a headwind, this disc fights out of a bit of anhyzer (about 10 degrees). However, with a headwind, the disc can and does burn over a bit.

This disc is great if you have hands large enough to hold it well

Speed 14 discs just have too big rims and are very uncomfortable for my hands but i can see someone with bigger hands getting on with this disc just fine.l
What i find keeps happening is that I cant hold on to it and end up releasing it left or on a hyzer angle, and even when i release it flat on or anhyzer it just fades fast due to low power

I was hoping this would be like a Nuke but it's more like a Nuke SS. Very flippy out of the box with a long turn and baby fade at the end. Not a bad disc for sure just not what I wanted.

I am new to disc golf, but after purchasing a small handful of discs this one immediately became my favorite distance driver. It looks nice, feels great to hold, and flies with. I get more distance with this driver than any of the others I've tried.

    174g Neutron

This disc absolutely bombs. Granted, it may take some rounds for it break in, but when it does I have not found a disc that goes farther. You need an above-average arm to get it to go though. (I assume if you're in the market for a 14 speed driver you can probably handle it or you wouldn't be reading this review). This is my go-to distance driver and I'm currently averaging about 400-450 feet with it, maxing out at 485. The plastic is very grippy even with a thick rim. It also gets incredible distance on skips. Highly recommend!

    172g in Neutron Plastic

Hands down the farthest flying disc in my bag, and the best stable-understable out of the box driver I've every thrown.

When you crank on this thing you get a beautiful s-curve that holds anny and fades back reliably. You can put it on a slight hyzer for a flip-up to straight shot. I can't turn it over unless I put it on big anny. Although I'm sure that one day it might get too beat in, that is definitely a long time from now.

The glide is what's so amazing with this disc!

Numbers are pretty close. I think the glide and turn are different than advertised. Speed feels more like a 12 or 13.

    Notes:

The rim is very wide but not too deep. I have relatively smaller fingers so its a stretch to get a grip on this thing, but I can grip it.

If you're a beginner you will not be able to throw this. It's too much disc for anyone who can't hit 350'. If you throw farther than 350', this disc is your ticket to the "400' club" if you're not already a member :)

The excite is by far the farthest throwing disc I have ever thrown! The shryke has nothing on this disc! This discs super high speed really makes this thing shoot out fast but stays in the air for a long time eating distance the whole time! It also works surprisingly amazing for forehands!

The Neutrom Excite absolute bombs in the right hands. If you do not have a 350-450' are you will none of that -2 turn. It take a rip but it is soooo rewarding with you get it right. When I step up to a tee box and it is an open field shot this is what I reach for. I also bag a Neutron Mayhem and the fly almost indentical but the Excite consistently gets 30+ more feet. Axiom drovers feel great in the hand and especially the Nuetron Plastic. If you have an arm that can handle and 14 speed driver this is a must try!

This disc bombs. If you love the Relativity, but wished it was a touch more over-stable, the Excite is the disc you are looking for. I only throw it for open, max distance shots for anything over 460ft-ish. It'll have a long, drawn out s-curve, penetrating forward the whole time. Pick this guy up and get to hucking.

This disc is amazing! I picked up a jalepeno assassin excite and it is true to it's name for sure. This is now my go to driver for consistent 300-350 ft throws. Before this disc I threw my mayhem and seemed to always be right around that 300 mark. I'll never not bag an excite again!

This is my new favorite driver.  For my arm strength (not very strong) it has definitely added some extra distance.  I would second what "Toddiovision" said in his review: "For players who have their throwing technique under control but want to push their distance a little further, this is a great long distance driver to try out."

I have also spent some time using the MVP Catalyst and then the Relativity (which was my previous favorite distance driver), and also experimented with the Axiom Vanish.  However, this disc (Axiom Excite) has definitely won the spot in my bag over those three.

First of all, this is a high-speed driver with maximum size rim width, so it already isn't for everybody. But it has a nice, understable turn which really helps it get some added distance. It wasn't too understable for me, a guy with moderate speed, so it really bombed and still had a gentle end-of-flight fade. For players who have their throwing technique under control but want to push their distance a little further, this is a great long distance driver to try out.  It is not for beginners, but on the other end, might be a bit too "flippy" for power throwers-- it is more of bomber for the  rest of us. If you like the MVP Catalyst and just want to push a bit harder, then give this one a try. I'd say it is very very close to an MVP Relativity, and a bit less stable than the MVP Teleport.

Some people won't like the super wide rim, but I've never been bothered by discs with a wide rim, so the Excite was a very fun disc to throw.
