The Delirium is an overstable distance driver designed for maximum speed! It joins its siblings, the Tantrum and Excite, in the 24.5mm rim class. The Delirium is a step more overstable than either of those, and as such excels at big hyzer shots and wind fighting. Plus, if you've got the arm, it'll get you further than the rest of the competition.

This disc is very fast and very overstable.  For such an overstable disc it actually has pretty good glide, it cuts through the air and has enough overstability to fight out of a max distance anhyzer shot.  I have two Deliriums, both are basically board-flat and have almost no turn.  One of the discs (with an orange rim) is much more overstable than the other, so it makes for a good disc to throw when I need a ton of fade or when it's very windy outside.  Some Axiom discs seem to fly differently based on the color of the rim so I wonder if that is the case with the Delirium.  I am liking my less-stable Delirium as a wind-fighter, for forehand max distance shots, and for backhand flex shots.  It actually has been very reliable and controllable since it will never flip over on you.  The massive rim takes some getting used to at first but after a while I've found it to be comfortable, and the neutron plastic has a nice tacky grip to it.

Not as over stable as the flight numbers would make you think. I can get a nice turn and beginning of the flight and then it gradually comes out of the turn during the rest of the flight and fades left at the end.

I was expecting it to fly like a Boss or a Nuke and be a disc I mainly use in strong head winds, but was pleasantly surprised that it flies more like a slightly faster Star Destroyer and can be used as a regular driver for me.

I prefer wider rimmed drivers so this is definitely going to hold on to a spot in my bag and get work on every course I play.

Short answer: My max distance with this disc capped at about 425ft, and is a very overstable disc for my arm.

Long answer: I love the wide rim driver line from Axiom and MVP, for a time the Dimension was a go to driver for me. When the Delirium was announced I picked up two of them. One of them a normal run, and the second was an X-out. The Delirium feels great in your hands as a wide rim driver, and has a very similar hand feel as the dimension. Both discs were consistently overstable. I felt that even at a high power, the disc didn't stay in the air long. BUT, it got some sweet distance in a hurry. I have thrown both of these discs 50+ times and they still remain to be my most overstable drivers in the bag. While the delirium haven't dethroned any of my go to discs under "normal" playing conditions, The delirium has earned a spot in my bag for any distance shots that I need more fade at the end of the flight.

To preface this review, I will say that my max distance disc is a 175g Tantrum. I throw LHBH, with my Tantrum I can get it to about 450 ft, with the tantrum flexing for 60% of its flight before fading to the right. Sometimes I put too much power on my Tantrum and it never has a chance to have a full flight. So, after seeing the Delirium having released, I thought it would be a logical replacement.

I can only get the Delirium to about 415 ft on a flat release but will require less airspace than the Tantrum due to less flex. I am able to access that 0.5 high-speed turn of the Delirium a little easier than I thought I could, however it only flexes for maybe 25% of its flight, pushes straight, and then fades which is more aggressive and earlier than the Tantrum. On anhyzer releases I feel the Delirium excels. The high-speed turn (0.5) allows the Delirium to hold the anhyzer angle for most of the flight, and the stability will allow it to flatten out and eventually finish. You only have to ensure that you throw it high enough.

If you have a big arm and can throw 410 ft + Then the Delirium may be a good fit for you. I cannot throw it as far as my Tantrum or Dimension, but it is predictable and requires less air space as the lines are tighter than the Tantrum. I give the disc a 4/5 only due to the Delirium’s glide feeling more like a 4 rating rather than a 5.

    Initial Impression (to be updated)

I bought this disc looking for a dimension that I could get some more turn out of, perhaps some more distance. I can get my dimension out to about 490 on a flex line and at full power / flat can make it turn slightly before fading. The angle transitions are very smooth. In comparison, my Delirium is a dumpy mess. It doesn't go as far, glides less, feels slower, and wobbles it's way through the same angle pattern as my dimension. Maybe I got a bad disc? I've thrown it forehand and some backhand, albeit at 75% since I have some bruised ribs. But I've compared the dimension with it at this speed with these results. Not sure how the dimension is faster when the dimension is the domey one. Overall this disc just feels like a dimension you ran over with a semi that wobbles its way out of relevance.

The Delirium is exactly as advertised-- a very wide rim and an overstable flight. I don't mind wide rims and really like the other Axiom and MVP molds with the wide rims. I anhyzered this thing as hard as I could and it still fought out for a big s-curve and a strong end-fade. I wouldn't say that it differs too much from a Dimension, though maybe a seasoned pro would be able to tell the difference. If I had to get down to the nitty-gritty, I'd say that the Delirirum didn't seem to fade quite as much as the Dimension, but with this kind of a disc, that would be splitting hairs.

This is a great disc for what it is meant to do-- fly fast and fade hard. But I would NOT recommend it for beginners.

Amazing disc. Flies a lot like a faster Nitro. My Delirium was a 172 with a Plasma rim, and it has a very similar shape to my Proton Octane. Slightly domed around the edges and flattens out towards the top. Overall, this disc is lightning fast, one of the fastest discs on the market, and it is NOT suitable for beginners. I bought this to complement my other two forehand drivers. I can get my 169 Proton Octane (1st run Proton Octanes are far more stable than any other Octane out there) out to about 400 on a forehand. My 162 Nitro will go almost as far but is more stable and fades a bit harder. The 172 Delirium is very similar to the Nitro in flight path, but has a bit more glide, so even though it's 10 grams heavier, it goes the same distance as the Nitro. Great disc, but I'm not sure if it will stay in the bag. Very similar to the other two.

The Delirium is no joke as far as overstability goes. It's a wide rim and fills up the hand. When I throw it, I have to put anny on it to get it to go further than 250 feet, otherwise it just spikes to the ground. I'm a rec/intermediate player, though, so this probably isn't the distance driver for me. I could see it being a utiltity driver, though. It has some dome to it, so it's not ultra flat like some of the MVP/Axiom drivers.

The DELIRIUM is a wide rim fast distance driver that is overstable.  The flight numbers seem to be accurate from the 2 I tested.  Fast/5/-0.5/3  - haha it's rated 14.5 speed, i wouldn't argue with that, but if it were 14 or 15 it would still be 'fast'.  The rim is very wide but actually feels comfortable in the hand and throwing both FH and BH feel good.  Mild dome, but not 'domey' no flashing or sharp edges - just a well made disc.

If you throw a new destroyer and can get a hint of turn in the flight then you probably can handle the Delirium.  For big arm players this will crush and possibly be your furthest flying disc of all time - it really is fast.  Stable enough to crush into wind but not so much that it kills your distance.  If you like Stable/OS distance drivers and are curious about this one, I'd say give it a go.

Slightly more OS than a Teleport - and it crushes
