Pros: It Floats and plastic feels ok....

Cons: Super flippy.... In fact, it only flips for me, and I don't have much of an arm...

for my 200-300 ft water shots I have had to disc down to my Hydra that is MUCH less flippy... This disc no longer has a place in my bag... blasting my hydra for 250+ has been far more consistent than trying to under throw this thing and praying it doesn't flip into oblivion.

I think the disc might be perfect for kids or people that play short courses that don't need to throw even remotely hard.

Great for anyone who does not have a high speed throw.  Unlike most reviews, this review comes from the standpoint of a beginner who does not have a powerful, fast throw.  I play disc golf with a group of other retirees who all have the same two problems:  (a) Most of our discs fade off to the left (with right-hand backhand throws);  and  (b) they generally don’t go very far.  This disc solves both of those problems!   That’s because its light weight makes it fly faster.  The increased speed lets the understable flight of this mold work for slow arms.  The negative 3 high-speed turn – when thrown fast enough – works against the disc’s minimal fade (of just 1)  to overcome the tendency to fade off to the left.  It also has pretty good glide.  As a result, it goes both farther and straighter than most other discs for slower throws.

Besides going farther and straighter, there are two other advantages of using the Aquaflight Dragonfly: (1) it floats, so you can be more confident around water hazards; and (2) it is PDGA approved, unlike the lightweight discs for slow throwers that are made by Dino discs.  So if you want to enter a tournament, you can use the discs you throw best. (That’s right:  competitions are not just for the Pros.  There are female, male and mixed amateur divisions, novice divisions,  and also divisions based on age for youth and senior citizens.)

Altogether, this mid-range just goes farther and straighter for me than most of my fairway and distance drivers.  It has a permanent place in my bag since it’s more than just a “kiddy disc.”

The Dragonfly is an understable midrange from Aqua Flight. If you are new to Aqua Flight you should know that they are geared to beginner players, or players looking for lighterweight discs. The dragonfly is very flippy even for a lightweight disc. It serves its purpose for newer players, or smaller kids. Anyone with average power is going to be turning this thing right out of the hand.
