This is a high speed, "glidey", distance driver with just enough turn to make this a real contender for longest flying disc in your bag. AGL spent about 2.5 years designing the top on this disc, and they incorporated some rather unique characteristics. The leading edge, on the topside of the disc, has been sandblasted - with the very thought of, like golf ball dimples, to actually increase speed as the air goes over the surface area that has been sandblasted. The bottom rim, we took from a discontinued Gateway driver and then made some modifications to it. It has micro-striations that function similarly to the sandblasted top, which helps increase glide and therefore distance. These new Redwood drivers are super fun and we are extremely excited to bring them to you all! We are also open to any and all feedback regarding numbers as we still have the form for the flight numbers up on our Facebook. So if you think they should be different, let us know!

    Alpine Details

Alpine is a premium plastic blend from Above Ground Level, engineered for maximum durability and long-term performance. It is typically made with 20 to 40 percent regrind from Innova’s Champion Plastic, resulting in a tough, resilient material that can handle repeated use and harsh conditions. Alpine offers a slicker, more rigid feel compared to other AGL blends, making it a strong choice for players who prioritize longevity.

    It's not easy to throw.

It has a great flight, nearly exactly as advertised, and after a little bit of beating in, it can cruise out to 350 for me, which is pretty good for my current arm speed.

I just find it pretty hard to hold in my hand. The shape feels quite awkward, most prominently from the sharp edge from the inside rim to the underside of the rim. It has a small bead, which I don't really like from a 12 speed disc. Overall, it makes the disc really difficult to grip, and consequently, to aim. I'm not really getting any consistent releases from this disc, sometimes it goes high right, other times low left, and plenty in between. To be honest, this might just be a skill issue on my part, but it just doesn't feel great.

Alpine plastic isn't very durable, but it's fine. Pretty stiff, too, which is nice, if you're into that. The sandblasted rim feels kind of strange, and it definitely limits your grip a little, but it's not really a problem. I don't really notice any difference in flight speed from it. It does pick up dirt and blemishes very easily, so this disc won't look very pretty for long.

Overall, exactly as advertised, just difficult to use, and not super durable.

    Love this disc.

It flies just like the flight numbers, although perhaps a little more glidey.

With a current max distance of about 350, I can zip this thing on a good amount of hyzer into a headwind and get a beautiful amount of flip out of it. In a tailwind, I can throw it flat and high and watch it float down the fairway, nice and straight.

Out of the box, it is a little overstable, but after only a few throws, it beats in to have a wonderful flip.

The only complaint I have is that the sandblasted surface cannot take any punishment without showing big blemishes and scratches, but I guess that's to be expected.

Well done, AGL, this disc will have a spot in my bag for probably years to come.

I am new to the sport and recently purchased this disc and absolutely love it. I am mainly a RHFH and this disc just flies super straight with a nice fade at the end. I've only been playing a little over a month but I have a big arm when it comes to forehanding and I can send this disc 375+.

This disc rips!!!  I throw RHFH and released flat at about 60% power it flies straight with a nice solid fade at the end. Lean into it a little bit more and it provides a really pretty skinny S shaped flight.

Alpine plastic has great grip and durability.

This is my first AGL Disc - 166g - and I am LOVING it.

It is one of a very few 12 speeds I can actually throw and I think the light weight is helping that out. The flight numbers are true to how it actually flies. I am able to get a slight turn at the beginning and then a slow gentle fade back to the right (RHBH). It doesn't just fade and dive downward, it continue to glide out.

I am looking forward to this disc becoming a staple in my bag.

The plastic feels great, it is supposed to be a premium plastic, but it feels a little stiff/hard and may beat in a little quicker than other premium blends.

All in all a great disc if a beginner is looking for their first high speed driver.
