AGL Discs presents the newest tree in the AGL “Forest” - the Douglas Fir. This is a thinner, and FAST, approach style putter that works really well for folks who don’t like those deep dish style of putters. The Douglas Fir is beadless and is slightly understandable to neutral, depending on arm speed. Most players with faster arms can get this to flip to flat on a hyzer release; whereas with arms that are not quite as fast - this disc will be a very, very straight flyer. The Douglas Fir is an excellent disc to use for a driving, or approach putter (especially in our premium plastic), while it can also be used as a putting putter (in our base plastic). Surprisingly, this disc works out to be a really awesome disc as a roller, as well!

Low profile and shallow rim. Phenomenal glide and the woodland base grip feels good in all playing conditions. Simply amazing

This is the shallowest putter I've put into my hands. Yes, even shallower than a Tomb, Chief, Warlock, etc.

It's also VERY understable. I'd call this the opposite of a Zone, because it's sort of in that ambiguous putter/mid slot, but it's really flippy. This would be a perfect disc for slower arm speeds and those with smaller hands. Thrown with 375 ft power, it will hyzer flip to turn pretty quickly and show no signs of fading out. It will hold that anhyzer glide for a long time, too, before it settles on that angle and finds the ground. It's sort of like a slower Comet/Sol. Because it has the Gateway Shaman bottom, I would consider it more of a putter than a mid range. It throws like a putter that's found itself smashed by a hydraulic press in the best way.

Gateway's plastics are always solid, so that's never an issue regarding feel. You'd be missing out on a great flippy putter/mid!

An extremely thin profiled putter, great for beginners and those with smaller hands. It wants to hold any line you put it on.

    Woodland plastic has great grip.

The douglas fir might be one of the best putters for beginners that I have ever felt and thrown. The douglas fir is a very shallow putter, with lots of glide and a ton of understability. I can throw this disc almost brand new on a slight hyzer at like 50% and it will flip up and sometimes over. I think anyone that is new to disc golf will find this disc to fly really far for them even if they do not have much power. It can teach you how to throw big anhyzer lines, how to hyzer flip a disc and just how to have touch around the basket. For people with smaller hands they may really like this disc for putting because of how shallow it is. I think all levels of players can utilize this disc in different ways whether it be a get out of jail crazy understable disc or just a go to throwing putter.

Throwing Woodland plastic at 4,400 ft in Utah. To me, 5 stars = incredible disc 4 stars = good & dependable disc. I don't give out too many 5 star ratings.

This disc is surprisingly fun to throw around. I found that it is incredibly easy to throw, and that I can get a very straight flight out of it. Its really easy to throw straight, its nice. I've enjoyed getting straight throws, hyzer flips, and anhyzer throws with this mold. Its been an enjoyable disc to throw around. I've loved it.

The profile of this putt & approach mold is rather shallow and quite flat. It makes my somewhat large hands feel a little cramped while gripping it. Despite this, I am still able to control the disc and get the flight that I want out of it.

Overall, the Douglas Fir is a good addition to the AGL lineup of discs. I've enjoyed paying with the disc, and watching it fly. Its an enjoyable disc that is fun to throw around.
