Wow this disc is crazy over stable. At a 13 speed a big arm is needed to throw it. It hyzers almost directly out of your hand if you don't have the arm speed. If you do have the arm speed this thing is great. Perfect for big 350 foot hyzer shots around trees or just to play in bounds. The fade at the end is the same everytime thrown back hand. With forehand straight shots it's a little less predictable. Great for forehand flex shots due to its over stability.

This has become one of my favorite discs in my bag.  The disc starts out slightly more over-stable than a typical destroyer but will certainly break in over time.  The opto plastic is one of the most durable plastics I have thrown.  This disc can take many tree hits and still offer a reliable fade at the end of its flight.

The Gladiator is easily the most overstable disc in my bag.  I don't have great arm speed, so usually I don't throw this disc, but I pull it out in heavy headwinds or for sharp turns.  Someone stronger than me would probably get much more use out of this disc - it flies predictably and with speed, and it feels good in my hand.  But if you're new or can't throw very far, I'd stay away from the Gladiator.

Opto Plastic. This is quickly becoming my go-to distances, driver.  As my power and arm speed continue to increase, this disk is more manageable for me. When I first got it as a mystery disc, it was too overstable but now I really like it. I would say it is not as overstable as the numbers suggest.  That said, the one I have is somewhat broken in, so that does make a difference.

I love the way this disk feels great in my hand, both backhand and sidearm.  It's not that overstable that I can throw it backhand and get a lot of distance 300' to 350' but overstable enough that it still works great for sidearm throws.

Opto Gladiator - throw it as hard as you want, it will not turn over!  I got this as a gift from a buddy and was pretty skeptical of its usefulness at first because I do not have huge power.  However, if you have a hazard on one side you can feel very confident throwing this disc over the hazard because it will fade back every time.  I also like the sidearm feel - I have medium sized hands.  Final note:  this disc in Opto is extremely skippy, which can be a great thing if you know how to use a skip shot to your advantage.  Very useful disc for me.

This is a very fast overstable disc! I have two I have a decodye 173 that is overstable as I got it new and don't really throw it unless I'm doing field work. But the one I do bag and throw is a opto 172. I got it used and it was slightly used and was still way overstable when I got it. Fast forward a year and it still comes out when I have something that I want to just go dead straight with a nice fade at the end with a good skip. Every time I have ever thrown this disc I have gotten a skip out of it. It now doesn't dump as hard left as it use to, its more of a gradual penetrating fade for more distance. You need to have at least 350 foot power in my opinion to even be able to use this disc or its going to be a straight meathook into the ground not a couple hundred feet in front of you. But if you have the arm for it and need an overstable disc that gives a predictable skip every time then you need to try this disc out.

By far my favorite disc to forehand. I throw it on an anny flex line and i know that even in windy conditions it will flex back for me. I would not recommend this disc for beginners because it it quite overstable. This disc will be a go to in my bag for years to come.

I really like my gladiator. I try to throw only two molds of driver, but I can't quite seem to replace the line I'm able to get with this overstable driver. So in spite of my best efforts to get it out of the bag for simplicity's sake, it has made it back in. Got my first ace with it too!

Saw this come out and it has taken a special place as a main thrower. Flies super straight for a good 300-325 ft for me but will turn when needed could not ask for a better disc

I was very excited about the release of the gladiator as it was coming out at the same time as some other great discs. While I have found the gladiator to be a decent disc, but not one that I love. It is very overstable, which can be great, but I have found that I like the defender more than the gladiator. The gladiator has a lot more of a dome that I am not a fan of. I have also found that I cannot get the same distance with it that I can on my defender, it dumps out sooner which I don't care for because I have a stiletto for that type of shot.

All in all the disc isn't terrible, it just is not one that I will find myself reaching for very often. In fact, it may not even find its way into my bag unless I am playing courses where I feel like I need very low and short shots that will then take a large skip

This disc really surprised me. The rim is surprisingly comfortable.  I bought it to be my overstable hyzer/skip disc. It never skipped for me but it certainly met the overstable hyzer need.  My only complaint is I didn't get much distance out of it. It could very well be that I don't have the arm speed for it.  I think I was only getting 275ish out of this beefy disc.  But I like it and it has a spot for very specific shots for me.

I recently got to try the Opto Gladiator and really liked it. I was throwing a 175g in Opto plastic around 4,500 feet (elevation for stability purposes). I grabbed three because they felt so good. The beginning run that I picked up were all gummier Opto (which I prefer) and all have a nice dominess to them; not pop-top or flat, but just right.

This disc is pretty over-stable. I would say it is fairly similar to some of the Enforcers I have thrown, with a different feel in the hand and maybe a touch more stability (my testing is limited to poor winter weather at this point though, I'll update if that comparison seems innaccurate in the future). The Gladiator also has some great glide.

If you are looking for an over-stable disc that feels amazing, you have to check out the Gladiator. With my arm speed I have to put it on an anhyzer to get any distance, but it flies great any way you throw it, just stable. It also works great for forehand throws if you prefer over-stability.

This is a very interesting disc for me.  I currently throw Giants as my main driver but this thing might be taking over.  Haven't thrown it enough to decide but so far I am impressed.  Not many discs fly the same way no matter the arm speed.  Seems like this is one of those discs.

I have 400+ power and a can barely get this to turn.  Definitely gonna be great in the wind but that is not the impressive part.  This disc seems to have the same line no matter how much you put on it.  I can get pretty lazy with my power and it still goes straight out for a ways before fading.  Typically an over stable disc like this would fade out of your hand if you throw it weak.  But not this guy.  This disc might end up replacing multiple items in my bad.

    Awesome disc.

I can see the Gladiator being a very usefull overstable disc. I used it during a couple of very windy rounds, throwing into a headwind, and even though it kept its line better than in calm conditions, it still wanted to make a pronounced fade before too long. It acted a lot like my Defender in terms of striking over-stability. I'm not a high-power thrower, so discs like the Gladiator or Defender only come out in windy conditions or when I want sharp turns to get around trees or other hazards.

So I don't see overstability as a problem, because everybody should have a couple of drivers with differing levels of overstability. I do still prefer my Defender because the Gladiator took an approach similar to the much more understable Westside Queen, smoothing over any possible "sharp edges" on the rim. Though those slightly rounded, smooth edges may feel comfortable upon first grip, it seems to negatively affect my release timing. The disc can slip off my fingers sooner than I expect and have less snap. That results in a much earlier fade than I want, sending my disc way off course.

I like the disc in general, and feel it can fill a slot in many bags. I still have preference to other similar discs.

This would not be a good distance driver for beginners...just in case that wasn't clear in my review. It is definitely an advanced disc.

The Latitude 64 Gladiator is way too overstable for me to get any distance out of with backhand throws. While I was throwing the Gladiator around I was also throwing around a mini Nuke and I was getting more distance out of the mini Nuke (super fun to throw, and I highly recommend).

Where the Gladiator shines for me is forehand. This disc is plenty overstable and will not turn over. If I release it at a slight analyzer it will still come back.

If you're looking for a fast overstable disc that isn't going to flip over in the wind, the Gladiator is definitely one that is worth trying.
