The ZEAL is a putter released by Uplay Disc Golf Foundation to be an easy-to-throw, comfortable putter for players of all levels and abilities. It is a beadless putter with a rounded rim for maximum comfort when using it to throw on approach or when putting at the basket. It holds a very straight flight path, resisting an unwanted fade whether thrown long or short.

With a 10-pack of putters you can not only save money, but you'll have a large number of putters for practice or to share with friends. You can use this pack at a family party, at scouts, at school, or anywhere that a pile of easy-to-throw disc golf discs are needed to get everybody involved in a game of disc golf.

This putter pack features the ZEAL in Inspire FIRM plastic which is a more stiff, durable blend. The weights on the putters will range between 170-175 grams.

Every sale of a Uplay ZEAL putter pack helps to raise funds for the Uplay Disc Golf Foundation's mission of growing the sport of disc golf in communities. They teach instructors and students in physical education programs, in elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools everywhere.

This review is given from the perspective of an over 50 novice player with mediocre arm speed.  For reference, my lightweight drivers typically go 225-250 feet.

My package came with 4 yellow, 3 white, and 3 blue discs, all in the 172-175g weight range.  The disc is firm, as in not very bendy, but it feels soft to the touch.  It reminds me of the soft-touch coating you sometimes get on consumer electronics.  Overall I think the feel in the hand is really good.  Surprisingly good for such an inexpensive disc.

I bought the discs for putting practice, but once they arrived I took them out to the field to see how well they would throw.  The answer is... poorly.  They are way too flippy for even my noodle arm.  The disc profile is very domey, which I think this contributes to the flippiness.

The only real complaint I have is durability.  It doesn't take much at all for it to get relatively deep nicks and gouges.  You'll see it if you hit a concrete wall or a rock.

Overall, I give the disc itself 3 stars, deducting one star for very low durability and one star for being too flippy.  For value I give it 4 stars--$50 for 10 discs that are perfectly usable for practice putting is a good deal.  The only reason I don't give it 5 stars for value is because I don't think this is a disk I would bag and I'm not sure how useful it will be (for me) for practice putting beyond 25' or so, since the flight characteristics have more of an impact.  But if you're like me and still trying to figure out putting form, this is a good way to do it.
