Mixed review...If you are a beginner, you do get a variety of discs for reasonable price. Think the most disappointing thing is not a single disc from some of the top brands and most discs had some defect. A few of the discs were damaged from the factory (still had damages circled in ink), few others were factory seconds, some discs had zero markings or stamps of what they were, and few had stamps rubbed off. Overall it was as described, did receive 2 putters, 3 midrange, and 7 drivers from 7 different manufactures.
Discs I believed I received: (Some not labeled or stamped so not 100%)
Divergent Golem (Stayput Plastic) - Nice looking putter
Divergent KAPRE (Max Grip Plastic) - Disc had random white blotch on all blue disc (just visual defect)
Divergent Disc - Factory 2nd Stamp, small cut on top disc circled in ink, appears be Kraken driver
Thought Space Synapse (AURA Plastic) - Nice disc with pretty cool stamp design
Thought Space? - No brand or label marking, fairway driver, pretty large cut on top and side of disc, has 4 TS flower like stamps that are double and triple stamped.
Skyquest Medusa (Premium Plastic) - Cool looking disc and very sticky plastic, the rim of the discs does have excess material on probably quarter of disc.
Finish Line ERA - Factory 2nd disc (Forged X-Out Plastic) - 3in spot of blotched molding on under rim of disk that is circled, is slightly noticeable when gripping disc.
Prodigy M Model S (DuraFlex Glow Plastic) - Stamped M on disc is missing half the letter.
Prodigy F Model S (DuraFlex Plastic) - No visual defects
CrossLap Discs Company - Some of stamp has rubbed off, still legible
Yikun Discs GUI (Phoenix Plastic) - No visual defects
Yikun Discs KUI (Dragon Plastic) - No visual defects
Overall you get what you pay for. The mystery box does seem like a way for them to just unload unsellable stock but most of defects were just visual. There were a few neat designs and discs that I probably wouldn't have picked out myself so I am still excited to go try them out and see if I add any to my bag.
Great deal, got a lot of new molds that I actually wanted to try. I usually get one a year to try things out so this is probably the third I purchased. Only complaint (not really a complaint) is that in all three boxes I bought i never got any infinite discs which I thought was weird.
Still highly recommend, definitely worth the money and will purchase another one!
A little back story, my brother has been playing disc golf for years now. I tried playing with him once a few years back but the next day it felt like i had thrown my arm out so I just decided to stick to fishing. About a week ago, I was in town visiting him and he convinced me to give it another try. I'm very glad I went. I'm not sure what I was doing before but we were able to play almost 36 holes. I absolutely loved it. Now, I'm a beginner and also a sucker for package deals like this. But also, keep in mind that I really have no idea about what these discs actually do. Take this review with a grain of salt. I ordered this package on a Friday night around 10pm, and it arrived on Monday around noon. I also got myself the mystery disc for an extra $12. Overall, for what I spent on the package the overall value was pretty good. The total package cost was around $130. Here is what I got:
DISTANCE DRIVERS - prices from Infinite Discs website
Infinite Discs Pharaoh (Mystery Disc) $16
Blizzard Champion $13.50
Dynamic Discs Enforcer Fluid $14
CONTROL/FAIRWAY DRIVERS
Prodigy F1 400G $16
Prodigy F2 750 $17
Discraft Heat Misprint $11

RPM Kea $15.50
Latitude 64 Limited Edition Pain $16
Discraft Buzzz SS $14

Again, I am extremely green to the sport, so I actually have no idea yet if any of these discs are any good to an experienced player but, in my opinion, I like the variety of discs that were sent to me and I am excited to get out and start throwing some discs. All I need now is a day off work........
