This is a special 5-DISC mystery package that is built up entirely of "hospitalized" discs that we have received in shipments from disc golf manufacturers. Sometimes we receive dented or warped discs that we don't have the time to fix, or that seem "too far gone" to attempt. But we have had some people ask for a killer deal to get damaged discs so that they can use them for purposes like:
However you decide to use them, keep in mind that the 5 discs in this mystery box WILL DEFINITELY HAVE PROBLEMS!
* If you purchase a Disc Hospital Box, please do not reach out to our customer support because of dented, warped, or otherwise damaged discs because they are being sold at a discount as being imperfect. You will be referred back to this description.

For less than $4 a disc, my expectations were low. Oh boy how excited I am to try some of these after opening the box! I even recieved a disc I talked myself out of buying a couple months ago!
What I got:
- Yikun Gui (2/3/0/2) in glaze-x plastic (somewhere between Innova star and MVP Plasma Plastics IMO).
- Viking Thor (14/5/0/2) in Air plastic (similar to Innova Champion plastic IMO).
- Dino Discs Allosaurus (12/6/-3/1) in I believe Eggshell? Plastic... Not familiar with their stuff. Interested to toss this as it's VERY lightweight.
- Discraft Thrasher (12/5/-3/2) in Z-lite
- Doomsday Depth Charge (2/2/0/2) in Clandestine plastic (the one I almost bought)
The Thor and Gui were the only ones with noticable puddling going on, and the Depth Charge might be a little warped, but it's a trash can lid anyway. If this is any indication of what you might recieve in ordering one of these boxes, give it a shot!
Took a chance on this since I wanted a few more discs that could stand to hit the blacktop during field work sessions. I was very pleasantly surprised by what I was sent. Two of the discs have defects that are almost too minor to notice, almost minor enough to pass the disc off as normal. The other three have puddle tops/warped flight plates, but nothing unthrowable. I also like that four of the discs are molds that hadn't even crossed my mind to try out on my own.
Discs received: Lone Star Founders Armadillo with a puddle top, Yikun Phoenix-line Crossbow with a warped flight plate, Thought Space Temple Nerve with super minor warping, Divergent Discs MaxLife Kataw with super minor warping, and a Ulibarri Crystal Zone with a puddle top/warped plate. Everything was right in the 170-175g range. Incredible value.
Great way to get discs on a budget - Out of the 5 discs, 3 had easily visible issues (warped or dented flight plates) but nothing unusable. The other 2 were only noticeable with a close inspection, and all should fly just fine.
Discs: Doomsday Bunker Buster 197g(!!) with a dented flight plate, Doomsday Dystopia with warped flight plate and slight scratches, I-blend Sphinx with barely visible dents near rim (almost like someone hit it with a utility knife while opening a box), X-Buzz misprint with a slight puddle top, and Ledgestone Ed. ESP Roach with the tiniest bit of warp to the disc (shouldn't impact flight at all). Overall, amazing value - if you got these discs out of the used bin at your local shop they'd cost you far more than this mystery box.
Got one of these to check out. Courses here have a lot of sandstone and discs get chewed up real quick so it's nice to have some cheaper discs to use. I'm hesitant to throw a nice new disc because it won't stay that way for long. Also, it was a good chance to likely get some different/interesting stuff to try. I am happy with the box I got. Plus, I like a challenge, so I'll try to unwarp these warped discs. Here's a quick rundown of what I recieved:
Viking Ragnarok - Air plastic. A premium transparent plastic (Storm with imperceptible air bubbles?). It's a lighter distance driver stickered 150-160g. It has a wavy/warped top but not bad. I feel like it can be made close to normal pretty easily.
Doomsday Dystopia - I think it's the survival plastic (opaque - seems like a premium blend, but it looks oxidized). It had a very slight warp where one side of the flight plate seemed slightly dented. Looks easy to get it back to pretty normal.
MVP/Axiom Fission Hex. Had a very slightly lower top on one side. I barely noticed it at first. Probably wouldn't affect flight much me thinks.
Lonestar - unknown model. 172g. This disc I really like. A nice looking swirly plastic (Bravo) with a cool stamp. I'll have to research more to figure out what model disc it is. Probably have to take some measurements. Seems like a control driver. It had a warped top but not horrible. I think it can also be made close to normal with not too much effort.
Doomsday - Bunker Buster. 197g. This disc is odd. I think it's a 7 speed disc but extra big, like one reviewer of it said it's like a dinner plate in size. I'm curious to see how this flies as it's an oddball disc. It also had a barely noticable dent on one side of the flight plate. I doubt it would affect flight much.
I'll definately throw all of these for a for a bit and they all seem like good usable discs, except for the Bunker Buster which is weird but interesting. So 4 out of 5 is pretty darn good for the particular box I got.
I currently have most these discs weighted with other in top and sitting on 2-3" cylindrical things for a few days to see how much that helps them. I haven't thrown any yet. I did have a katana that sat somewhere for a long time and half it's top got pushed in but it still flew fine I thought. Based on that, these discs might not fly as intended but with variations in discs anyway I think it won't be a big deal for me. Just wanted to mention my thoughts since there's not much for reviews yet. I'll likely buy another in the future.
Exactly as described was a perfectly fun set
