I reviewed this item back in december of 22 you can find my old review at the end. Since my first review the people at meepmeep reached out to me asking if i would re-test and write a new review. they told me that the meepmeep has come a long way since then so i agreed to it. they sent me a new meepmeep and i went to testing. the first thing i did was to double check with the company which ways the adhesive should be placed. if you are wondering white side to disc 3m side to tracker. after that because the weather wasnt great i decided to put it on a disc i dont care about and i started smashing it into the ground to try and make the tracker pop off. it stayed so they made that better then the original tracker i got. So then i thought well how hard is it to remove it and i can say its pretty hard so make sure you put it on a disc you actually want it on. i had to go in with a flat head screw driver to scrape it off my disc. now the last review i did was i grabbed my favorite DD3 slapped the tracker on it and threw it in an open field to see if it changed the flight of the disc. i did this by throwing my DD3 about 3 times with nothing on it then 3 more times with the tracker. from what i cound see the flight never changed slight push to the right with a nice finish at the end.

Im going to start by saying I like the idea of this product. from testing it in my house I could hear it from my bedroom closet while i was in my living room. so i know if i used it when i actually lost a disc it would lead me right to it or really close. unfortunate i didn't make it that far. on the meepmeep website they say "MeepMeep disc golf finders use a special adhesive design to withstand all but the hardest shots." I've only been playing disc golf for about 6 months so you can imagine i don't have super strong drives. last time i checked my max arm speed was around 53 mph nothing crazy. but on the last 2 holes i played I had a light tree hit on the first hole then a bit of a harder one on the second hole i did look when i was about to tee off on the last hole so i know it was still there but i didn't even cheack after the last tree hit then when i got home i noticed my meepmeep was gone. i don't want to give bad reviews especially to a new company with a great idea. all i would say is maybe change the adhesive to something stronger or if you the consumer are worried super glue the thing on. i know it will make it really hard to change the battery but it might be worth it in 2 throws i lost a device that cost me $29.39 plus a battery that i think was $10 for 2 so $5 almost $35. it would have been cheaper to just lose the disc and buy a new one. sorry meepmeep for the bad review i hope you guys can come up with something better but for me i think the answer is get better and stop throwing my discs into thick veg.

Giving this 5 stars, not because of anything to do with disc golf, but because I attached this thing to my tv remote and haven't lost it since. Not sure how it would work long-term on a disc, but my wife is more than happy with the benefits of it on our tv remote.
