Basic Information
| Biography: | I started disc golfing in the summer of 2019. My passion for the sport grew in 2020 when covid struck the world. Travelling outside our province was not recommended so my fiancé and I created the most unique summer of disc golf. We travelled all over our province playing every possible course from tonals to 5 basket courses. We ended up playing over 65 courses. At this time we are the only 2 disc golfers to have played every course in our province. While we accomplished this we captured photos graphs of the lay outs for every course, gps’d the many courses on UDisc and reviewed all the courses so that others could find and play the course with ease. In 2021 I played in my first Women’s Global Event and my knowledge for the sport expanded as we had to play with MPOs due to not having enough female propagators. This was when I set out on my journey to play in as many sanctioned events and motivate other females to as well. I wanted the 2022 Women’s Global Event to not need an MPO to have our own ratings. We were able to achieve this goal. 2021 was the year my love for competition grew. It started off with a goal for our Females in this sport and quickly turned into another addiction/goal for myself. I wanted to get better, play better and seek that round of perfect throws in putts…. The one that just never happens for anyone but it’s a dream we all chase. I’m not just a competitive player, I am someone who is always looking to improve the sport and grow the sport to new athletes when ever possible. I do this through my posts on social media and through running/organizing tournaments and events on various courses in my province. I have played 209 different courses, 32 sanctioned events, approx 32 unsanctioned events, organized numerous glow rounds across 6 different communities, hosted 2 sanctioned events, 1 Ice Bowl, was on the committee for 3 Women’s Events and 2 Provincial Championship events. I’m always looking for new ways to entice people to our sport and give new events for our new players. My highlight moment of my disc golf career will always be hosting the 2023 Saskatchewan Open Provincial Championships as it was the first time in disc golf history that a sanctioned event took place on First Nation’s land. It was event true to my heart as a proud Métis woman. It meant a lot to me and the people of my community. I have so much love and passion for this sport that it goes beyond the competition as I believe it’s the sport for all people. Everyone should have a disc in their possession. | ||||||||||||||||
