The Discraft Ace Race is an annual disc golf event featuring two rounds of 18 holes, with players making one throw per hole. Instead of playing the entire hole, your only objective is to get aces! It typically takes place in August, September, and October. Participants use only the discs from the provided player package, and prizes include Discraft merchandise, bags, new discs, and trophy discs. For many years the Ace Race disc was an unanmaed prototype. After the Ace Race, if enough players like it, Discraft names the disc and makes it available for retail sales. During the pandemic, the Ace Race stopped as Discraft was unable to keep up with their rapid growth. This is a fun, promotional event Discraft runs to help promote their brand and new or special discs. The player pack included for Ace Race participants is worth far more than the cost of the entry fee.

• 2019 - No Prototype discs for this year. Instead in 2019 the Discraft Ace Race provided different discs for events each month. Technically, you could have done three Ace races and received different discs at each event that year.

Now that Discraft disc golf growth has slowed down and Discraft is able to keep up with their record expansion, we should see new Ace Race discs again in 2024! Once we have those prototype discs, they will  be featured here.
