I love my All-Terrain cart, it holds everything that I need for the tourney days to just daily rounds. It has a perfect disc capacity (IMO) and still can hold towels, minis, sharpies, umbrella, and retriever easily. If you play a lot of tournaments this thing will save your legs and back.
I absolutely love the Zuca All-Terrain Cart! It has all the room needed to carry everything needed for a day on the course. I am able to get 25-30 discs in the main compartment. I don't need that many discs (nobody really does) but I like carrying backups on me. Having backups available is incredibly handy in a tournament round if you happen to lose a "go to" disc. The side pockets also provide ample room for snacks, jacket/sweatshirt, drinks, and anything else you need. I also really like that you can sit on top (thus preventing the need to carry a stool). There is also a space behind the disc rack that I use to store a rain jacket and a couple extra towels. Finally, there are so many ways to personalize the cart to have everything you need.
I really noticed the benefit of having a Zuca cart after using it in my first tournament. Not carrying a bag for two rounds helped to keep me fresher later in the second round. This was a huge advantage! I plan to keep a backpack when I play on very rugged courses, but look forward to using my Zuca any chance I can! You will not regret making the transition to a cart!
I have the blue one with a black insert and it does everything I need it to. The amount of space it has for discs is great, I was even able to put a small cooler in their to store snacks and drinks for the round.
I did take off the cup holders and put DIYs on there and I love that they had little mesh pockets as well for more storage.
I am able to hold 20+ discs, two water bottles, minis, drinks, umbrella (when raining), towels, snacks, phone, keys, wallet, and other items without hurting my back.
It can also go anywhere, even though I do still use my backpack on wooded and hilly courses.
I absolutely love my cart. These are absolute back savers. I noticed an immediate benefit to my game as my back, and shoulder tends to get a little tired towards the end of a long course. However, as soon I got my cart I found that I felt 100 percent for more of the course than when I was using a pack style bag. This has constantly translated to being able to bomb the last few holes more frequently than I was before.
The ability to carry so many discs with minimal effort is also amazing. It is very confident inspiring to be able to show up to a course blind and know that you have a disc for every possible throw, and some backups to boot. And the amount/size of pockets available allows you to take all of the snacks, drinks, and extra clothing you might need. And on the accessories available for these carts really add to the comforts that you can bring along to the course.
These carts are also shockingly light. As such it is no issue to pick it up and carry it over tough obstacles. They are also great going up and down hills. Just don't leave it alone on a hill as it will role away.
Also, quality is amazing.
Super cute, love the cart and am looking forward to testing how 'All Terrain' it really is here in the Whote Mountains - will update the review if it will let me.
I've been using this cart for a year and here are my thoughts.
Pros: holds plenty of discs for your needs and side pockets hold 2 to 3 discs on each side as well. The wheels are now a tough molded foam so they last. The seat is also great. Lastly, you don't have to wear it so you preserve some energy. 2 water bottle holders
Cons: it'll tip over if you hit a root or large rock. If you fill the bag up with discs there is no room for anything else such as a jacket. There is no putter pocket. Gotta spend another $35 to get one. The biggest complaint for me is the team inside that holds the discs is not stationary so it'll shift and get crooked. As a result the discs will sometimes be at a weird angle inside.
Conclusion: if you're looking at backpacks spend the extra money and get the Zuca. If your looking at getting a cart, spend the extra $100 and get a ridge roller. My DG buddy has one and it's more solid and less tippy. Though it holds less plastic.
I did my homework before making this purchase as you are. Reviews I have read are good and accurate. I needed this due to when I played tournment rounds my bag, loaded down with water and everything else I carry takes a toll. I notice a huge difference in not having that extra weight.
Pros : it's much less tolling on your body to use this compared to a bag. If you play often or play competitively invest in the endurance you get. The seat is tall, your not squatting down every time to reach your chair. On top of that your not hauling the chair around and folding and setting your stuff down and picking it all back up each time. It has way more disc storage than I expected. You can buy all the little extras and your set. Honestly what it came with tho is enough for me. You could easily fit 4 putters on the side as well. The handle easily slides down and you can throw it in to your car. The wheels come off pretty easy too if you absolutely had to. The clearance of the wheels is high enough you can roll over and in between rocks no problem. This was kind of a nice surprise. It's well built and feels solid. Easy to pick up and walk it over obstacles or creeks. It's the cheaper of the options
Cons: so most of this has been said by about every review I read prior. It can be top heavy when on slopes or if you hit a rock solid with 1 wheel or something. Going downhill either push it or keep it directly behind you. The tires need to be filled with fix a flat or use foam to make it tubeless. They can cause problems but I haven't had too many issues yet. The last thing is the handle gets pretty cold. Im just being picky on that. But it's something I noticed.
Overall, do it . Spend the extra 70-100 bucks when looking at a bag. I had a ranger bag for 1 year and I loved it I would still recommend them. But a year later when i got more seriouse about my game I got the zuca and I'm done buying things to hold my disc. This one wins.
I purchased a Zuca Cart right before the Utah Open this year, and it was awesome. When I play in tournaments I have noticed I play better when I have a caddy/someone else carrying my bag. I only purchased the seat cushion (which is a must) and it came with the accessory pouch. Just with the accessory pouch and the side pockets I had plenty of room to store snacks. And I am a big guy, so it takes a lot to fuel my body. I did realize about half way through the round that it was easier to push the cart rather than pull it. One of the biggest bonuses of the Zuca is that you don't have to carry a stool with you. You always have a seat that is comfortable and right with you as long as the cart is parked on level ground. The wheels were super smooth and easy riding. I have used the Zuca for 2 tournaments that have completely different terrain. The Utah Open is on a Golf course so of course the Zuca was easy sailing. The Patriot Classic has some wooded holes and only a couple of the holes I had to carry the cart uphill, which wasn't too bad. However, if I had to carry the cart up more than 2 holes I wouldn't have used it. I have a Grip EQ A-15 bag and the Zuca carries about 7-8 more discs than my bag. Honestly it is too many discs for my liking. My bag carries the perfect amount. They now have the Zuca Cart bag carrier which I wish was out when I had purchased mine. I am thinking of using the additional room for maybe cooler storage instead of filling the enitire compartment with discs. Overall, I love the Zuca and I don't have to pay for a caddy (depending on the course). I recommend it to everyone.
The Zuca cart is fantastic if you play in a lot of tournaments, or if you just like having a ton of discs to throw on every hole (great practice), and don't want to carry around a 50 pound bag on your back.
When I first got my cart, I emptied my large disc golf bag and the Zuca cart was barely half full! I went through my stashes of discs to find additional ones to haul around simply because I could. When all was said and done I am able to hold 36 discs. I put four discs in the the side pockets (three putters in the flexible elastic side, and my trusty Orange Justice in the other side). This makes quick access to these frequently thrown discs and they are high enough up that you barely have to bend down. I also hold a sweatshirt in the bottom side compartment below the upper rack of discs, and a thin rain jacket in the same side pocket below my three putters. It's super convenient to get your discs out of the cart, especially the top rack.
I have a seat cover and a handle pouch that is great for snacks, my dirt bag and mini markers. It's also super handy for storing the cell phone and keys. It also holds my disc gator and an umbrella when needed without any additional inconvenience in toting around. For a big drinker like me the ability of holding two large water bottles is also a must.
The best part about the Zuca cart is that it is a super convenient seat wherever you go. During an incredibly rainy tournament I actually taped my umbrella handle to the cart handle and had a permanent umbrella holder. Pretty convenient when you need to write on a scorecard or just dry your discs while holding an umbrella.
Normally I don't take many back up discs in my disc golf rounds because I rarely lose discs. However, when I played Olpe Lake at the Glass Blown open I was sure glad I had all the backups after losing 5 discs in a single round (did I mention that I HATE that course).
Compared with the Delta Disc golf cart, the Zuca is a lot less expensive, holds a lot more discs, and has a higher seat (which is very nice for non midgets).
Overall I love the Zuca for tournament and practice play, but can't give it a 5 star rating because it has a few downsides. While it holds a ton of discs and everything else you want for a tournament round, compared with a disc golf bag it's pretty bulky, substantially heavier, and much more difficult to haul around and get in and out of vehicles. I drive a Toyota Corrolla, and while I can fit it in the trunk, I have to to lower the handle and remove the wheels which is a hassle.
The Zuca cart also provides more hassle than its worth when playing a super mountainous course. It's not a lot of fun to have to carry that beast around when wheeling it is not an option. My last complaint with the Zuca is that it's a super pain to pump up the tires. I got a flat and neither of my two bike pumps fit in the tiny wheel area.
If you can avoid flat tires, like to carry lots of discs, play lots of tournaments that are on mostly open flat terrain, I highly recommend investing in a Zuca.
