There have been some reviews stating that the K1 Glow Grym X has a lot more high speed turn than listed and right out of the box I experienced that. When I first took it to the field it felt more like a 13/5/-2/.5 and I could only keep it straight on a hyper flip but the more I continued to throw it, it showed more of its stated flight path but still a touch more under stability than I expected. All that said, it feels unbelievable and the glow plastic shines incredibly bright!! Love the disc and is in the bag but not exactly what I thought but a bomber when figured out and dialed in.

Is anyone experiencing understability with the new Glow 2020 Grym X??

I just got mine (176g) and was excited to use it primarily for forehands. On a good day, I can get my forehands out to 350-400 feet. So I went to a large field by my house to start throwing some forehands with the Grym X and throw backhands with my brainwave Grym.

Immediately, my forehands weren't doing what I want. At the start, there was no wind. The disc would fly nose up, turn a little bit, then drop out of the sky. I decided to throw from the other side of the field when the wind started (only about 5-10 mph). These throws then just started to flip over and become throllers 50 feet out of the hand. I tried to address my technique and not to roll the wrist. The disc still would just flip and die, no matter how much I ease up on the power. Throwing on extreme hyzer, I got a full S flight, but it was still a little bit nose up and didn't go all that far. My max forehand throw maybe was 300 feet. I was reluctant to throw it backhand until I realized it might be understable. My first throw backhand with the Grym X confirmed my thoughts. It was flippy! It flipped up to flat and rode straight for a while with absolutely no fade at the end. Even more flippy than my Grym was. So I decided to throw my Grym forehand to compare forehand flights. The first forehand with Grym was an absolute bomb, maybe 375 feet with perfect flight as the Grym usually flies. Every forehand with the Grym X was just ugly. Every backhand with the Grym X was still flippy. It's just very confusing to me how understable the new Glow Grym X is for me and I wanted to see if anyone else had the same experience.

It's still an awesome looking disc. Great design, great feel as always with K1, and the glow is strong. My backhands did fly well with the Grym X despite being understable. It's definitely not as fast as the Grym. Grym X is an 11 or 12 whereas the Grym is very fast, definitely a 13 speed.

I'm just really disappointed that I didn't get the overstable disc that I was looking for.
