This disc is a great approach disc for me. The Coyote is a mid-range disc with good glide that flies predictably for straight, gentle turnover, or hyzer shots. It is an easy to throw disc with a friendly grip. A great choice for players using only one disc. The Coyote is easy to throw and has great glide. I use it when a Roc is too much disc and my Aviar is not enough for the shot. I have two in my bag; one for straight shots and one for slight turnover. My go to backhand approach disc is the Coyote. It has a very predictable line and it always gets me next to the basket. It flies straight and has a gentle fade at the end.

I used to bag various stages of Buzzz's and as I made the switch to throwing Innova molds I found the roc to be similar to a newer buzzz. however with rocs not really having a premium plastic type that's not expensive is tough to find. I also wasn't a fan of the dome the Rocs tend to have either. I then went to try Roc3's though they made my bag as an understable and overstable mold I never found that perfectly straight flight without it having either more fade or more turn then I wanted out of the flight. I then before stumbling onto the mold of the coyote tried the Mako3 and it wasn't bad but it was a very touchy mold when throwing the disc a bit harder. The coyote was finally something I was able to find that could handle power and still manage to go just straight with very little turn which was dead on a buzzz for me. I carry this disc in Star plastic I found this to be a very common plastic I can find cheap online.

I don't know what these people are talking about... this disc is amazing!
If they stop making, it I'm stocking up.  I recently flicked one off of a tree and into a lake.. :0

When I first bought this disc I was grabbing discs in a store.  I pick this thing up and....Yup! I didn't care what it did, I had to throw it because the feel was perfect.

I have had two Makos.  One was great and one turned over and was a turd.  The two Coyotes I have had have been identical in flight numbers.  It's straight with a gentle fade.  If you crank it you can get a gentle -1 turn and it glides for a mile.  It can stick lines but I usually use other discs for that.  That's my personal choice.  If you're new to the game you can stick one of these in your bag and play pretty confidently.  If you are new and they are discontinuing these...grab one quick and hold onto it for as long as you can.

I can't justify the existence of the coyote. If you want a straight flyer, the best disc is the Mako3 by far. If you want something with a little hook, go with a roc. But the Coyote is somewhere in between, it flies straight almost all the way down, and then right before it drops, it hooks just a little bit. I find it very hard to be accurate with such a flight, and I really don't have much need for it. I also found that the Coyote is not very forgiving for bad form, so make sure you have some experience if you want to try this out.

I really like the coyote for shorter tee shots. I used to throw it on a smaller, confined par three course near school. It can hyzer on downhill shots where it's allowed to glide for awhile. Otherwise, it tends to fly straight or even turn left (LHBH). I have since replaced it with a Fuse and Tursas, which I feel are basically a better versions. Still, it's a great disc to start learning how to anti midranges or if you're an Innova fan.

My coyote is my go to disc if I need any kind of short range shot. This disc is good for short rollers sidearms and last shot hyzer shots. This disc will hold whatever line you put it on if you throw it with a lot of hyzer it will keep it same goes for anhyzer. This disc tends to be a little unforgiving. I will also use this disc for short dirves off the tee if you realize it flat it tends to do a very nice helix

Got a couple of Coyotes on sale, one of them from Infinite Discs.  I suspect Innova may be phasing out the Coyote, so I'm glad I have these two.  They are both Star plastic and one is 175g while the other is 172g.  I find little difference in their performance.

The Coyote has a deeper rim than many other discs.  Some may like that while some will not.  I didn't mind it, but it is a bit "different" and might take getting used to.

After giving the Coyote a good workout on the range and a couple of courses, as well as comparing it to other discs of the same class (mid-range discs), I found that the Coyote performed best against other models in windy conditions.  The Coyote fades at the end, especially on throws that are not very hard, and this serves me well in a headwind.  Also, once I learned my Coyote's flight pattern and foibles, I found it to be reliable and predictable to the point I sank one into the chains from over 60 feet (that's pretty long for me), hit the basket or pole several times, and could park it into "tap in" range from over 100 feet with good consistency.  Other discs can and do perform for me that well... but not as well as the Coyote in windy conditions.

To a point, the Coyote is good and accurate, but as the length of the throw gets longer, I found myself going to other discs for better results.  The Coyote is a short-range disc for me.

(Edited 5/20/15)  The Coyote is still a good disc, but the Roc3 has replaced it in my bag.  I let newbie friends borrow my Coyotes, and they do reasonably well with it, enough to not give up disc golf(!).

I used a Coyote when I first started out.  It was consistent and very solid for 100 ft and in.  I have since replaced it with a Roc3 and haven't looked back.

I throw a Champion coyote and quite like it. Good glide, holds the line well. The coyote and the cobra have got to be my favorite mid range discs.
