National Competition: The first place winner will get to play in Emporia in September for the National Championship. If that person can’t make it to the Championship, the second place winner will get the option to do so. The National winners will receive gift cards and baskets.

How it’s played: If you aren't familiar with Match Play, here's how it works. In a Match Play competition, the goal is to win more points (not strokes) than your competitor. Each round is played against one competitor. You'll both tee off on hole one and play out the hole. Whoever gets the lowest score on that hole gets one point, then you both move to the next hole. If you tie on a hole, no points are awarded. Strokes do not accumulate; for each hole, you only count the strokes to determine the winner of each hole. The player with the most points at the end, wins.

    Check out the rules here:

    Rules

Those are the rules for this competition, with the following exceptions:

1- You don't need to play with another pair of players nor an official

2- Ties will result in a sudden-death competition, starting on hole 1
