Welcome to the 2021 Old Main Challenge! This event is back and better than ever. Big thanks to Infinite Discs and Innova for sponsoring this event. 

Per tradition, the tournament will be held on beloved Old Main hill in Logan, UT. Please see the schedule for the date and starting time. Every division will start at the same time (commonly known as a “shotgun” start).

This event is perfect for every skill level and is a great way to test your disc golf capabilities. Whether you are just starting, or have played for years now, this tournament is for you!

The day will consist of one round for Novice & Recreational players, and two rounds for Intermediate & Advanced players. For all divisions, lunch will be provided after the first round. Lunch will consist of a deli sandwich, chips, and a cookie. Bottled water will also be provided at the event, but be sure to bring your own water in the case of hot weather.

Each player will compete with only three discs. Two of those discs will come from the players pack, and the third will be one the player chooses from their own collection. This is why the tournament is called a challenge!

ALL players will receive a player’s pack that includes:

• One Innova Thunderbird in Champion plastic
• One Infinite disc (plastics/molds will vary)
• Innova patch
• Infinite sharpie
• Innova pencil

Here are some additional rules you should know before you play:

1. All Advanced and Intermediate division players will compete for two rounds. You will forfeit any potential for winning a prize if both rounds are not played.
2. Players must play with the player pack discs and one other disc of their choosing (Example: One might get an Innova driver, an Infinite Discs mid-range and then choose to use their own putter). It is recommended that you bring your personal bag of discs so that you may choose one that will be played with during the tournament. The Tournament Director will bring some extra discs to choose from if you do not have any.
3. The top three in each division will win a prize. Therefore, there will be no payout. Prizes include a new Innova bag, a micro disc catcher, Innova water bottles, and Infinite bucks! 
4. We have paid to rent out the property, and therefore are expected to take care of it. Please do your best to respect the grounds, foliage, and other pieces of the landscape so we can keep holding this event. Throw trash away in provided trash cans, and ask for assistance if your disc gets caught in a tree or bush and cannot be easily removed (i.e don’t climb or trample). You are personally liable for any serious damage caused to the property.

Need some extra practice before the tournament? Local professional disc golfer, Kesler Martin, will be offering a disc golf clinic the day before The Old Main Challenge. He will be giving tips and examples about throwing, putting, and anything else you would like help with… See you there!

Where? The Quad on USU campus. If you are unfamiliar with the campus, visit this campus map: https://www.usu.edu/map/ (“The Quad” can be found under “Points of Interest”).

When? The clinic will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. the evening of August 13th.

Where can I park? There is a purple tag parking lot just South of the quad that you can park in for free any time after 5 p.m. If that is full, the bottom of Old Main hill offers free parking.

Cost? This clinic will be free for everyone.
