The IAIA Amateur Classic (IAC), sponsored by the IAIA Disc Golf Club, Desert Disc Golf, Infinite Discs, and Innova Champion Discs is a two-round, amateur-only PDGA C-Tier event at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Disc Golf Course in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Saturday, April 7, 2018. This unique amateur event provides players with an exceptional tournament experience and includes a players pack for every player, payouts through Infinitediscs.com, and trophies for division winners.

Registration

Registration for all divisions is $55 ($30 to player packs, $20 to payouts, $5 to course fees). It opens on January 29, 2018 at 6 pm at Infinitediscs.com and closes on March 9, 2016. You must have an Infinite Discs account and profile to register; no cash registrations will be accepted. The IAC will take a maximum of 54 amateur entries. You do not need to be a PDGA member to play the event, however a $10 Single Day PDGA registration fee applies for all players who are not PDGA current. Please check the appropriate box on the form and pay the fee if you are not PDGA current.

Players Pack

Just as last year, the players packs will be fantastic. Each player will receive a custom hot-stamped Innova Champion Golf Disc--including Shimmmer Star Teebirds, Star Destroyers and Shrykes, Luster Roc3s, Glow Firebirds, and Color Glow Leopard3s and Shrykes. Each player will also receive a tournament t-shirt, and plenty of surprise swag. Be sure to choose your shirt size when registering.

Payout

Payout for all divisions will be in the form of Infinite Bucks on Infinitediscs.com where you can choose from individually photographed discs from an inventory of 25,000+ discs. Payouts will pay out to the top 40% of each division and are immediately applied to a players profile after the event.

BYOB Flex Doubles--Friday, April 6, 2018

We will host a flex dubs round the Friday before the event. Limited to registered players only. One division (players throw from the tee they will play in the event). Flex start beginning at 11 am, last card on the course by 3 pm. $10/team. 100% payout. Minimum of 2 teams per card.

Lunch

If you attended last year, you know about the food. The IAIA Bon Appetit Cafe is a two-minute walk from the first tee and serves healthy, delicious, and locally sourced food. Players will receive a voucher to purchase a buffet style lunch at the cafe for $8 (normally $12).

Desert Disc Golf will be on site during for your disc golf needs! Support our sponsor from Los Alamos!

Players Party

The IAC features a killer players party at the Santa Fe Brewing Company (SFBC) immediately following the event. SFBC is generously picking up the tab for the first round of drinks! The party will feature music on the outdoor stage, putting on the installed Dynamics Discs Veteran basket, food trucks, and any number of bar games including pool, shuffleboard, and cornhole.
 

Basket Raffle

During the players party, we will raffle off a basket.  All raffle proceeds benefit the IAIA Disc Golf Club. 1 ticket for $5/3 for $10.

About IAIA Disc Golf

The purpose of IAIA Disc Golf Course is to offer a fun, healthy, and lifelong recreational opportunity for IAIA and the surrounding region. Disc golf is a component of the college’s health and wellness curriculum and the course exists to enhance our campus facility and offer a unique feature to our community.

The disc golf course was designed by David McCormack of Gateway Disc Sports and is a prime example of high desert disc golf. It features custom painted Gateway Titan Pro-24 Disc Golf Targets complete with numbered golf flags mounted atop each target as well as custom cedar tee box signs and field turf tee pads.
