Focus Friday – Discs at a Discount

Focus Friday – The Hu

Welcome back to another Focus Friday, where you get to learn about a disc and receive a great discount so you can give it a try yourself. This week, we are focusing on an all-around great driver to have in your bag… The Yikun Discs HU

Named after the Chinese nine tailed fox, this driver has a great combination of both over and under stability. Back to the fox, these creatures appear a lot in Chinese folklore and mythology, and can either mean good or bad luck.

This Driver is faster than its more stable counterpart, the Yikun Gou. So if you are looking for a mold that is a little straighter with a dependable fade at the end, this is a great choice and all purpose driver. PLUS, for every Hu you purchase, you get a FREE Yikun Mini!

DISCOUNT -> To get a HU at 25% off, use this code at check out: “FOCUSHU”

This will end Monday night, so get on this amazing deal while you can!

Quick Tip Tuesday – Approaching The Basket

For your Quick Tip Tuesday this week, Infinite team member and employee Kesler Martin shares his insights on how you can best score out on the disc golf course.

First, this tip is for ALL throwing formats. Whether you are teeing off, approaching, or even trying to make a long putt, this tip is going to help you stay under par.

Second, plan on landing in circle one or circle two when you are throwing at the basket. While throwing an ace or parking your shot feels great, you will score more consistently if you aim for circle one or two.

And Third, make sure you are practice putting a lot. When you land in the circle, you will feel more confident making your putt rather than trying to make a putt when you haven’t practiced as much.

Quick Tip Tuesday – Putting Speed

This week for your Quick Tip Tuesday, Infinite team member Joel Freeman shares his thoughts on the speed at which you putt, and how it can make or break your game

First, figure out at what speed you like to throw your putt. Do you putt fast/hard? Slow/soft? Or a mixture? This will help you determine if you need to adjust things.

Second, Joel recommends that you try putting softer than harder because if you do miss the basket, you can easily make the comeback putt rather than having another 40-foot putt that you need to cash for par or bogey.

And Third, putting is something you should be practicing the most often, so make sure you are doing all the right things so you can make it count on the putting green!

Check out the full video of Joel breaking down this tip for you –>

Blowing all sales out of the water is the newest mold from Discraft… The ESP Athena. This mold represents Paul McBeth’s 6th World Title earned this year in Emporia, Kansas. This molds is a fairway driver with a slight fade at the end of the flight. It promises to give players excellent control and accuracy out on the fairway.

Coming in second and third was the newly release Halo S-Blend molds from Infinite Discs. The Emperor and the Centurion have been the first Halo molds to be released, but they will be followed by more molds as the year comes to a close. Black Friday is bound to have some amazing Halo drops, so keep your eyes out for that.

Do you see any discs that surprise you? Let us know in the comments! We are always surprised by the discs that don’t show up in our weekly top twenty, but show themselves in the monthly report. One of those molds is the River, coming into spot #19. It is a consistent mold that a lot of players like to throw, so we are not too surprised that it is here!

The Guessing Game
