Basic Information
| Biography: | My name is Rachel Melo and I grew up and currently live in Moab, UT. I have been playing disc golf for about 6 years now, 3 competitively. My sister and younger brother introduced my husband, and I to disc golf and since then, it's all we do in our free time. There is a pretty small disc golf community in Moab but we have a great course and are always excited to see new faces out here. Between working at a hospital and raising a toddler, disc golf is a perfect stress reliever. I have always been a competitive person playing multiple sports growing up and disc golf has fulfilled that area for me. In 2019 I challenged myself and competed in and won several bigger tournaments including the Las Vegas Challenge, the Patriot Classic in American Fork, and the Utah Open. Utah Open was a NADGT qualifying event and I recently made the trip to Austin, TX. I finished in 4th place and even managed to make it on the lead card for the final round. This finish fueled my desire to compete at a higher level. I love that disc golf requires both a good mental and physical skills game and that there is always room for improvement! | ||||||||||||||||
