This is a pretty standard midrange disc that everyone needs to have at least thrown once. That’s all it will take to find a place in your bag. it’s reliable and easy to hit the sweet spot with.

There are a few discs that every disc golfer has to try. This is one of them. One of the classic straight midrange discs. If you are going to try any other midranges, you really need to know how this one flies to compare it to. To sum this up, this disc sets the standard for midrange discs. Any disc that sets a standard is a very good disc.

Can’t add anything that hasn’t been thoroughly covered. Ill just say that it will hold any line you put it on. You can throw it hard, or soft. If you throw it flat, it will go straight a long way before gently finishing left. If you give it a solid rip, you can get a sweet s curve with some good distance. Basically, this disc will transform into whatever you need it to. That’s why it may be the best disc ever.

Check out the Latitude 64 Fury if you are looking for something that dies even straighter.

Flies even straighter**** LOL

I’ve got a Cryztal z buzzz. It’s a fine disc, but I gotta admit, I don’t throw it anymore than any of my other mids. Are there any others who are not insanely impressed with this disc? It’s a good disc, but if I was running out of room in my bag it’d probably be the next to go.

I’ve thrown a Buzzz since I began playing disc golf a little less than a year ago. I play fairly frequently so my game has improved quickly and so has my abilities with this disc. I have several Buzzz’s in the bag, my go to being my Glo-Buzzz. Noticeably more stable than other Buzzz’s so it’s all that much more dependable a disc. great for beginners all the way up the ranks of disc golf. I have tried this disc in every plastic blend it’s offered in besides Pro-D and I have loved it in every single one. In the end I have settled on the Glo and Esp at max weight as they just do the job best for me.

The buzzz titanium feels a little overstable to me as of right now. However the titanium is virtually indestructible and should last many years if I don’t lose it. The buzzz needs to be thrown anhyzer to make a smooth S curve or even forehand. Forehand tends to suit me better at throwing narrow shots with this disc because of the light fade. Backhand the buzzz should work for players with better technique and should offer a predictable and great mid-range shot.

I became a Buzz freak pretty fast after buying the TI Buzz. I caught 3 Aces with it within the first few months of having it and dropped my score by atleast 4 strokes the day I got it. The Ti for me is a line holder and you can do just about any shot with it. I now have 5 different buzzes in my bag now because I just can’t get enough of them. Fantastic disc.

There’s not much else to say about the Buzzz that hasn’t been said here already, but I’ll continue to agree with everyone else. There’s a reason this is one of the most popular discs in the world. It has a truly dependable and predictable flight that will improve your game if you struggle with midrange discs. I even got my first (and so far only) ace with an Elite-X Buzzz. Get yourself Buzzz’d.
Review Whiz, L8
This is the ONLY midrange I have in my bag. I can handle it very easily. This was one of my very first midranges. I throw this a lot. Any body can throw it and it is a great disc.
Review Fanatic, L5
I guess I can add to all of the Buzzz praise; I really like this disc. I have mine in the ESP plastic and it is maybe a touch more stable than I was expecting. Absolutely solid all around mid range disc though, can be shaped for all of the shots.
But… and I might be the only one on the planet to feel this way, I actually prefer my Buzzz SS. I get a little better distance with the SS, and I have that disc absolutely dialed in. Certainly not a diss to the Buzzz, more so just shameless plugging for the underrated Buzzz SS.
Review Supporter, L4
This is my favorite midrange. Very versatile and incredibly predictable flight.
Review Fanatic, L5
Just like everyone else, this is my goto Midrange disc. Keeps you nice and straight with little fade at the end.

Ah yes, I gave in to BuzzzzMania. After hearing many people recommend this disc I decided to get one. My disc is a 165g in Z plastic. This plastic is smooth, has a great feel, and is very durable (it’s hit a few trees and posts). The first couple of times I took it out and threw it, I couldn’t figure out what everyone was raving about. Then I started throwing an MVP Vector with much success. Then I brought out the Buzzz again. Whatever I tweaked in my technique with the Vector made a HUGE difference on how the Buzz flew. Now that sucker flies great for me! So I would definitely say, if your Buzz isn’t flying the way you think it should, it could be in how you’re throwing it. I’ve now added the Buzz to my bag and put it into my regular throwing rotation. I think with a little more work, I could see this disc bringing me my first Ace!

I have a 178 Titanium Buzzz, a Z Buzzz, and a 176 Supercolor Buzzz. Each Buzzz flies differently, which makes it more awesome. When I picked up my first Buzzz, I was amazed how good this disc flies and how workable it is. The Buzzz has completely improved my game and will improve anyone’s game. You can throw soft anhyzers, dead straight shots, slow hyzers, and this disc also rolls really well. As far as the three different plastics I have, Titanium is most stable, Z is most durable, and Supercolor has the most distance and is least stable.
Review Enthusiast, L3
Probably the most popular and sought after of all Discraft discs. Great midrange (almost as good as the Lat. 64 fuse and MVP axis…lol) Everyone else has summed it up pretty well and just wanted to add the below comments:
Buzzz is verified disc golf ace leader: DiscGolfScene reports that of 5,468 aces posted at the site, Buzzz is the most common ace disc, having been thrown for about 1 of every 14 aces! -DiscGolfScene April 2010

I own two different buzzz discs, One is an Elite X and the other is a Titanium. While I prefer the plastic of the Elite X, The Titanium is an all around better disc. It goes further, Straighter and is infinitely more accurate. I actually use my Ti Buzzz as a driver some times.
Review Participant, L1
The best disc on the market.
I carry 3 a Ti version–which is more stable than the two Z versions of the Buzzz in my bag.
Very controllable and the different plastics tend to have different characteristics.
Great putter into headwinds and my go to disc for all jump putts.
You won’t go wrong with a Buzzz–or 3–in your bag!
Review Supporter, L4
My favorite midrange. Super straight and very predictable. I would recommend this disc to everyone.
Review Fanatic, L5
The Buzzz is the only Discraft i presently throw, and I love it for its steady dependability for approach shots. Many of my best shots ever were with my X Buzzz.
Not a fault of the disc, but it will fade on every shot, making it unsuitable for tunnel shots. But that last bit of dependable fade has laid me up near many a basket.
Review Participant, L1
Hands down, this disc gets the most use out of my bag. For beginners, it does what you think a normal frisbee should do – so friendly. For the more experienced, the power of this disc is in it extremely moldable line. It will turn a dogleg anhyzer spike & level out just in time to come down 300′ later. It will go straight with a plop at the end; any line you can imagine – predictably.
Review Supporter, L4
I have and esp buzzz and a z buzzz. my first ace was with the z buzzz, but that isn’t why i like it. I like it because I can rip it and know it will fly straight and fade left at the end. (I’m not so good that I can get it to fly straight the full distance) at distances up to 200 feet, I can really control the flight of this disc.
In my experience the esp is a bit more understable or like a buzzz ss than the z buzzz. it’s just one of the most predictable discs out there.. highly recommend it.
Review Supporter, L4
Well I’ve tested the Buzzz out in Pro-D, and Z Glo plastics and here is my 2 cents. The disc is great really is, but it’s just not entirely right for me. If you are looking at getting a Buzzz I highly suggest a better plastic mold than the Pro-D. The Pro-D plastic becomes beat too easy and never held lines I wanted it to hold. The Buzzz surely is one of the best, but I’d rather throw an MVP Axis for a midrange (because I like the feel of the MVP plastic, and the disc itself better). I will be getting a buzzz in the near future despite liking MVP’s product slightly better to give it another chance.
Review Enthusiast, L3
Absolute best line holding mid on the market! I love mine for any shot I need to shape, anny, hyzer, tommy, whatever! Get one in FLX and never worry about a bad kick from a tree again!
Review Grand Master, L13
One of the best mid-ranges ever made. The Buzzz is a line-holding machine, and perfect for all skill levels. I prefer the FLX Buzzz in 177g. My daughter also throws a Buzzz in Pro D plastic, at 165 grams which is perfect for her (she’s 7).
If you’re looking to improve your mid-range game, or are just looking for a super reliable disc for all conditions, look no further than the Buzzz!

They are right on for this disc. It is as advertised and should have a place in your bag. Power it up and it will turn over, give it some air and room and you can S shot it. I prefer Ghost and Crystal versions then super colors over other plastics. Plastic does change stability slightly so try out your friends’ to see what you like.

The best. Sticks to a line like crazy. Super reliable. I love it in Elite Z plastic which is what I use. Great for FH or BH. Probably your best choice of mid-range.
Review Participant, L1
Aaaahh, the Buzzz. A disc so holy the Pope carries three in his bag at all times (he calls them the Holy Trinity) . . . I carry four. The most versatile and user-friendly of all mid-range discs, maybe even all discs in general, this plastic gift from above is never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. Its straight-flying capabilities make it the perfect choice for shots down narrow fairways, and will give you more aces than a stacked deck of cards. Throw it on an anhyzer; it will hold the line. Throw it on a hyzer . . . you guessed it; it will hold the line. This disc is so lights out from within 325 ft. you’ll need night vision goggles to handle it. Beat it in, and it only flies straighter. I prefer Elite X or Z plastic, but Crystal, FLX, and ESP are just as lethal. With 11 Buzzz aces in the last two years, I’m so attached to this disc that I plan to be buried with one (as well as a copy of Abbey Road on vinyl). In all seriousness, though, the Buzzz will give you control like you’ve never seen before, offering a slight overstable fade before it deploys the landing gear. And if you’re wondering why there is an extra Z in Buzzz, it stands for zero . . . the number of things this disc can’t do. Why are you still reading this? Go buy one now!
Review Lover, L6
Best review ever. I’m so attached to this disc that I plan to be buried with one.
I’m sold. I’ve got to go buy a Buzzz.
Review Enthusiast, L3
The buzzz is my workhorse midrange disc. This disc can do it all. From sweeping hyzers to lazer straight drives this disc has the ability to hit anything you put it to. I carry 4 buzzz’s in my bag, ranging from a O/S Glo Buzz to a beaten U/S Barstamp Buzzz. You can’t go wrong with this disc.
Review Supporter, L4
Ti Buzz is my go to for shots off the tee that range from the 250-325ft. It can handle power extremely well and can hold every line. It has little to no fade from shots off the tee and it can be mastered to use this disc for approaches and even putting. One of the most famous and popular disc ever made.
Review Participant, L1
Mmmmmm….. I love this disc. I carry 3 in my bag. One for approach, one for drives, and one because it looks really cool =P
But in all seriousness, this disc is pretty much magic. Whenever I’m at a hole that’s sub 250′, especially in the woods, I just whip out my buzz, Forehand or Backhand. It can hold a nice fade the whole way, or if I rip it harder it will go straight before fading off at the end. All in all my go to disc for anything short of a driver.
I think I carry more than one as a mental thing. When I have a separate buzz for driving and approaching, I have a different mindset for each disc when I pull it out of the bag. It’s almost like I throw each disc like they aren’t the same, just because each has a designated purpose.
Review Participant, L1
Ahhh, the Buzzz. A standard in the midrange department. Stable/understable. While I am not a fan of the Pro D plastic Buzz, all of the other plastics are awesome. The disc is easy to control and very predictable, making it a great choice for beginners. I keep two Buzzz’ in my bag at all times.
Reviewer, L2
I use a Z Buzzz to complement my Comet. For me, the Buzzz is lazer straight with either no fade (Elite X plastic) or a little reliable fade (Elite Z plastic). Go to midrange for distance because it can take some heat behind it and stay true.
Review Supporter, L4
Old faithful for sure. Z plastic has always seemed to be the most consistent and easy to control/farthest flying/stable.
Review Participant, L1
I’ve only been disc golfing for a little over a year, and the Buzzz was quickly my favorite disc and remains so to this day. It straightens out and holds a line and glides forever. This disc is a must have for beginners, and I don’t know too many advanced players that don’t like and carry a Buzzz.
Review Enthusiast, L3
Buzzz – Comes in every plastic and has a tone of custom prints for a reason. It is a great disc golf disc. Drives, 2nd shots on long fairways, and upshots. I have a dozen Buzzzes. Keep the Cryztal Z and Ti in my bag. Will switch in the Glow on windy days and the FLX for a wooded course.

January 8, 2012 If the Comet and the Stingray had a torrid love aiaffr which produced an independent minded illegitimate child, it would be the flying squirrel. Looks like a beadless Comet, flies more like a beat Star Stingray. It’s a little faster, like a speed 5 mid, and doesn’t love low lines like a Comet or Fuse does, that is to say it doesn’t have as much glide as you’d think. Hyzer-flip to straight or rip it into a turnover, it holds an anny line pretty well. I found it a little tricky to dial in compared to other understable mids but overall a really fun disc. Mine had a ton of flashing on it.Was this helpful? 0 0

Great beginner or all around disc. Does anything good.
Review Enthusiast, L3
Love my Buzzz. I love it so much I bought another one. It’s currently the only disc I use two of.
I have the GLO-Z plastic, and Titanium. The Glo plastic is pretty slick, so any dust on your hands or the disc doesn’t help. The Titanium is MUCH better, but probably not worth the jack up in price. Stick with Z plastic. (the colors for Titanium are nearly impossible to find on blind shots when the suns going down.
Review Enthusiast, L3
Overall this is a great disc. Very controllable and reliable, holding any line you throw it on. Wish this was the first disc I ever bought, because it is very beginner friendly. Very comfortable in the hand. One of th most used discs in my bag.
Reviewer, L2
The Buzz is my go too mid in most situations. I carry 3 in my bag from beat understable to slightly overstable. In my experience the Glow Buzz seems to be more overstable than the others but for the straightest shots the Crystal or esp is the way to go in my opinion.
Review Enthusiast, L3
If you’ve never thrown a Buzzz do yourself a favor and run to the nearest store to buy one. Then head to the course and find your new love.
Review Whiz, L8
Buzzz will fly far and hold it’s line. If I had to play a course with a single disc, it would be a Buzzz. Predictable, controllable. Throw it flat, it flies flat. Throw it on an angle, it holds the angle the whole way. I’d recommend the budget plastic (Pro-D) for beginners since it is cheaper and is less stable. X plastic wears in well for anhyzers. Z plastic can handle power and snap very well. Titanium/Crystal plastic tends to fly a little straighter.
Review Supporter, L4
Thanks Jason,
I am new to Disc Golf, and recently discovered the Buzzz, and was wondering what the difference was between different plastics (other than wear). I tend to buy low end plastic to get a feel for a disc, then if I like it upgrade to the quality plastic. The Buzzz is now my go to disc, especially if I need a tight, straight shot, as it will fly straight as an arrow, and then fade just a bit at the end.
Review Enthusiast, L3
Awesome disc. Flattens out of an anhyzer, finishes with a predictable fade when thrown flat, and holds a hyzer line to the ground pretty well too. Grip width is perfect for just about everyone – and works as everything from a really long putter to a very controlled driver on shorter holes or tee shots. Pairs great with a Wasp to almost entirely fill out the mid-range portion of your bag.
Reviewer, L2
What more is there to say about a Buzzz. Put it in your bag and lower your scores!
Review Whiz, L8
its the freaking Buzzz!!!! must have! the best disc in the game. the only disc i would choose if i could only play with one.
Review Participant, L1
This is my favorite disc! I have it in 4 different plastics (elite x, z, esp, and ti)
Basically, it will hold what ever line you put it on for the most part. The Titanium plastic seems to go a little straighter than the other plastics, and the ESP plastic seems to be a little more stable than the others. Great disc though for beginners and pros alike!
Really controllable, reliable, and just a predictable disc! with Great Glide!
Get this disc if you don’t have one. One of the best midrange out there.
