Just as a power reference I throw a new 175g. champion Boss about 370 feet and I was looking for something with more accuracy and control. I really liked the flight numbers on the DD so I purchased a 175g. Champion DD and it is WAY more stable than the flight ratings suggest! It is more stable than my 175g. Star Max and the Max is still pretty fresh. This DD has a pronounced high dome with a sharp sloping angled sides, I have noticed that the dome profile and parting line height have more effect on the fight than the weight, plastic or disc type but it was the only on they had so I couldn’t compare it to any others. That being said maybe this one is a freak and doesn’t fly like the rest of them. I would honestly give this disc about on 11-3-+1-5, it has little or no glide and wants to corkscrew left immediately after it leaves your hand regardless of how hard you throw it! I have to rip it on about a 10* anhyzer to get it to go anywhere at all but it is perfect for the Tee shot on #12 at Columbia park in Kennewick WA. If you can rip it hard and let it fade past the last sycamore tree you have a 10 footer or less for birdie. It’s kind of a one trick pony but it does that one trick really well. My question is when is Innova going to get there shit together and have some flight ratings that actually fit the disc? I am honestly thinking about writing a shoppers guide on Innova plastic because your average sap has to buy 10 discs before they get what they are looking for. I like my DD it just doesn’t do what it is supposed to do AT ALL! Does anyone else have a Champ 175g. DD with a big angular dome on it to compare to?

You can throw this disc as hard as you like and still get a straight line. The fade is listed as 2 and feels a bit more. I personally find this disc to be a real blueprint in reliability. I find the rim very comfortable and overall really enjoy the feel of the disc…..And the stamp is pretty sweet as well.

A hard to turn over wraith? With more glide? What’s not to like? I don’t find the rim to be “big”. Beat in this disc flys like a longer wraith and the “hook” isn’t nearly as pronounced as advertised. I prefer the P-line plastic.

  4. I never actually got my DD bagged, but that was only because I was so used to hyzering my firebirds. This disc will get more distance due to it’s speed than a firebird, but I have small hands and prefer smaller rimmed discs. For reference I use a teebird as my main driver and shoot around 320′-330′ on average with it. I can push a wraith around 350′ but rarely find it necessary to have the extra 20 feet of distance at loss of control.
That beings said, if you are looking for something that is a longer firebird, then this is the disc for you.
